Anyone here interested in a high resolution video of Bomberman Zero for the XBOX 360? I got a DVD today with it on. Personally I think it looks wank but you may think otherwise. Anyway, if enough people are interested I'll rip the video. For now though here are a coulple of nasty pictures. (you camnn tell I was too lazy to use a screen grab  Yakumo
I'd be interested in seeing it. I really dislike the new style, but you never know, Bomberman did need an update if you ask me.
I can't see the style sticking around for long, but it's kind of cool to see a different aesthetic. They're really appealing to the drunken frat f**k with the look.
I'm quite curious to see the new style in action as well. I play Bomberman online on the Dreamcast with mates on a weekly basis, it's just such a great concept.
Yeah its only human nature to hate something thats different from the original no matter how many rehash after rehash come out.
ok guys, it's late now so I'll convert the VOB file tomorrow in to XVid keeping the original resolution. File size should only be about 50 meg I guess if I downsample the audio to 56kbps. Yakumo
they really should have considered not calling this Bomberman on it's own, leaving the door open to return future instalments of the series to the former look. that said, I can't help think this looks great.
Me again! Right, everyone say a BIG thank you to me and pass over any spare change you may have around the room  I've ripped and uploaded the video here - http://www.archive.org/details/Bombermanzero I ended up doing it at PAL TV resolution to save on time but at least it's in good picture quality ! The file is just uinder 60 Meg. And for those who can't be bothered to download it, here are a few screen grabs from the DVD version. Yakumo
Give me the old 2D style any day. Thanks for sharing the video though Yakumo, it's good to see it in action.
Thank you Yakumo, always nice to see a game that vaguely interests me on the 360 (it is a very rare feeling). As for the game, I just kept thinking that given it was a 360 game it "should" look better. Frankly apart from some high res bits out of the in game sections it all looked a bit PS2 to me. Higher res is not "next gen" in my book. I want more things going on, on screen. Also it does not look very dynamic, despite the edgy visuals. So I am kinda unimpressed by the graphics, the gameplay looks fairly decent though. I can see that 3rd person perspective making fights against the computer a bit more interesting. For me to buy this at full price they are going to have to stick in a metric ton of extra options that haven't been seen in bomberman before, the graphics just don't sell it to me, infact I already own bomberman games that I feel look better! Hopefully Japanese 360 prices will reduce this to the 3000 yen range within a month of its release.
I am a little disapointed. I hope a marketplace demo goes up before the game is released. Much like warakia, I think things are not dynamic enough. I really feel this game should give off the same crazy feel as say geometry wars does. Geometry wars on the 350 feels so dynamic and gets more insane the longer the game goes. On another note. Thank god hudson is doing a new bomberman for psp that is more like the old stuff. That other recent bomberman game they did for the psp was total crap.
As supportive as I am regarding the Xbox 360, for some reason I don't really have high hopes for this one. It's not the new look necessarily, but more over the fact that it's in 3D. The DC Bomberman Online had that cel-shaded pseudo 3D scrolling effect and that didn't play very well, so we shall see.
The strange thing about that Bomberman Online for the Dreamcast was that it was only ever released in the states ! I wonder why? The first place I'd expect Bomberman to come out would be it's home land. Yakumo
