i follow you in the Arcade fantasy... my almost whole collection is carefully stored in cardboard boxes, waiting for the day i'll have space enough to display it...
'bout N64 devkit, it's not really my priority, but i do like N64, and i try to get many of stuff related.
i'm looking for a Wildcard64, not in a hurry, but if you hearded 'bout, let me know :)

PS : i didn't forget the N64 DV-I pics, i just asked Marshall (the creator) for his authorization (finally, this DV-I N64 is kinda development hadware for his Ultra HDMI). If i don't have news before this week-end, i'll upload some pics anyway :)

PS2 : Sorry for hijacking your thread LeHub, but it seems that we all feel good here :]

For sure, you will be the only one in the caribbean ! Hope you will be able to get as much as stuffs as you want ! You can even organise e-sport competition on your video game kingdom. I know that it involves getting very good computer but I guess it is easier to get than old video game systems, no ?

No lol, I'm at the stage now where everything else I collect will need to be shipped. I've around 14 or 15 consoles and since being here I've found 1 original playstation and 7 games, that's about as retro as I can get on the island. I will be building a new PC in the future to deal with my editing needs but even all that will be coming from overseas as it's either cheaper or it's just not available here. I'm really pushing for the impossible but I think it'll be worth it.

Wow a Ps1 and 7 games ! This will not help you a lot for your museum haha.

Have you tried mexican import ? They have video games too. And it is not so far from your place. But as someone told you, the best thing is to buy a whole lot and put it on a ship.

I will look into Mexico, originally I never bothered as my Spanish is worse than my French. But are they PAL? Failing Mexico it seems the cheapest option is to get on a plane, buy a load of stuff (in France if possible) and fly it back with me as excess baggage. It's a lot of effort but the reason why the rest of my collection isn't with me is because shipping is expensive! Talk about frustrating

Wow, mate that would be awesome of you, thank you for offering! I will keep your offer in mind! It may be a while before I start going down that option though as getting my existing collection over is a priority and of course I need to wait and see what happens should the UK stupidly decide to leave the EU

As of yet I have no idea if I will be able to stay here should the UK break away... I was in this position a while back when Scotland voted to leave the UK. That would have been interesting as I have a British passport and if Scotland were independent I'd no longer be a British citizen but no one could send me back as I'd have no legal travel documents haha. Either way, the UK can do what they like, I really don't care so long as I can stay here. Chances are I'd ship my stuff from France anyway.

Wow, this situation would have been quite strange ! I remember the time when Scotland has to vote for her independance. I was in Glasgow at that time, and people where having huge talk about independance. At the end, someone told me that Scottish hasn't voted independance because old people have been told by British that theyr will no longer receive pension. So these old people hasn't voted the independance. Is that true ?

I didn't hear that but I suppose it's possible though I can't see why an elderly Scottish person would listen to an English government over their own Scottish government who would of course have told them that that's just not true. And I'm pretty sure that even the old folk could work out that as a new country the last thing Scotland would have wanted is thousands of homeless old people. It's hard to say, I kept my self out of it so I don't have all the facts :/ I wasn't allowed to vote as I hadn't been living in Scotland for so long so I didn't want to know anything other than the end result. I would have just got wound up other wise.

So you where on the independant side ? I don't don't much about Scotland situation, but I was supporting the independance.

Speaking about video games one more time (this seems to be the right place haha), I have found a very good video game shop in Glasgow, with full of retro stuffs. I have bought some Boxed SNES and N64 games there.

Not far from this shop, there is a place called "The Geek Retreat". This place is just awesome ! it smells very bad, the food is junk food, the is sometimes more people than chairs, but you can read comics, play video games, play magic card and many other board games. All this while listening to music. There is even (sometimes) hot geeky girls ! I have spent most of my evenings and week end there, when I was staying in Glasgow.

Yeah I was pro-independence, Oh aye, video games... :)
I'm really shitty with place names of just names in general tbh but the last time I was back in Glasgow (October 2015) I found a great shop near St. George Square, more or less opposite the art gallery. It was all figurines and gaming related stuff loved it in there, plus there was a Greggs and a pub near by... well its Scotland so there is always a Greggs and a pub close by lol. The Geek Retreat sounds like a fun place though. Next time I'm up that way I may just have to check it out

That shop is still there,, and it is awesome ! A lot of books about video games ! And one of the guy there was coming from USA and we had very good talk. And yes hahaha, Greegs is everywhere ! First time I was there, I was like "This shop is a bank or insurance office" but then someone told me that it is a pastry shop. From the outside, the design doesn't look like a pastry shop !

About pubs, they know my name in many of them hahaha....

Yeah they gave Greggs a bit of a face lift, kinda funny when you think about how its kind of scummy (but tasty). I love that shop, I could have spent a small fortune. There is another one near Queen St Station, it's more about comics but still an awesome space. It's kinda cramped but goes really far back, don't know if you'll know it. Well not only is it a cool place but I remember walking around it when I was 12/13 wishing I could buy everything. Not much has changed haha, still wishing hard.

And then to the pub :)

I don't know that comic shop. I have been there a long time but I was always staying at the same place.

Hahaha, when we are kids, we want to buy everything ! These kind of shops are paradise for kids.

Well be in my 30's on paper but I've really not grown up haha. The shop is hard to spot, it's very unassuming but it's close to the other shop, 5/10 minutes walk. I suppose it's the things like that from our childhood that inspire adults like us to collect and to share. I don't know what it was like in France for kids that age but when I was that age it really wasn't cool at all to be into that stuff, its nice to see how much things have changed. God I sound like an old man. "Back in my day you had to get on a horse to the village hall to play on the communal Playstation which was powered by the local donkey"
