Started on John Steinbeck's "East of Eden", but not had enough time to really get into it yet. I just finished John Grisham's "The Street Lawyer", which wasn't bad.
I recently picked up the second book in the Night Angel Trilogy, but I'm just not feeling it like I did the first. I think I'm going to put it on hold and either read the third Ender book, third Dark Tower book, or start A Song of Fire and Ice so I can be ready for the HBO series next spring....
I am currently reading Meat Loaf to hell and back and queen. I also like to read true story books such as escaping daddy and when daddy comes home. I think they are really good stories and it helps understand awful situations.
Eh*shrug* I don't see what was ever so appealing about the whole "Darth Bane" Storyline anyway besides the creation of the rule of 2.:katamari: I'm about to start an old Bantam Spectra era Star Wars book "The New Rebellion" I don't expect a lot i'm thinking but i'm sure i'll enjoy it.
I absolutely love him. He is amazing. I went to see him at chatsworth house in 2005 and he was amazing it was one of the best days of my life.
last one i read was 'the death of bunny munro' by nick cave if you liked neuromancer you might also want to check out 'do androids dream of electric sheep' and 'flow my tears the policeman said' by phillip k. dick currently reading another fictional book - the bible... long overdue : ) big fan of michael moorcock - hawkmooon, elric, corum... way better than LOTR
I've just finished the last two Sookie Stackhouse novels. Dead and Gone and Dead in the family. They're stupid but I want more. They are so easy to read.... I'm about to start Shutter Island.
Ya, I'd like to read that book too. I went to the theaters and saw the movie. One of the best movies ever IMO.
Currently reading the entire John Carter, warlord of Mars series, in these really cool 70's editions with Frank Frazetta illustrations that I inherited from my Uncle. Apparently the set is worth a bit of cash also. For anyone who hasn't read them, John Carter rules. All he does is kill people... it's almost as good as Conan.
Finished Shutter Island last week and watched the movie. I wasn't disappointed at all. Now I'm reading "A thousand splendid suns" by Khaled Hosseini. I'm not loving it, but is not that bad
I could't read that book. It's too dense. Moved on to "Autumn Bridge" by Takashi MatsuoKa. This one seems really intetesting
I've been readin Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, as well as Minority Report and other stories bu Philip K Dick. Birth have been excellent.
recently read day by day armageddon, really enjoyed it. recommend it if you like zombie stuff also book 2 out very very soon
I've started reading the saga of A Song of Ice and Fire by George RR Martin. After watching the first season of Game of Thrones, I decided I had to read the books. I'm loving it.... I also bought myself the two novelizations of the Assasins Creed games. They are probably bullshit but I hope I enjoy them as very light reading. I also got myself a book on HISTORY OF SAMURAIS and one on Italian Renaissance. In the past couple of months I've been reading THE EIGHT (which I disliked a lot, mainly due to it's fucking ass ugly ending), and some individual readings on Pale Blue Dot by Carl Sagan
Never knew this thread existed. Just about to start Steven Tyler - Does The Noise In my Head Bother You? Can't imagine it'll be as good as Motley Crue - The Dirt or Nikki Sixx's The Heroin Diaries but I'll give it a go all the same. Books recently finished include Jack Dee - Thanks For Nothing, Sue Townsend - Adrian Mole: The Prostate Years, Michael Moynihan - Lords of Chaos: The Bloody Rise of the Satanic Metal Underground and the latest Headpress Ltd Ed hardback, Vol 2.4.
