this is for those classic games we've shamefully never played. In my case I never played, Mario 64, Zelda OOT OR Majora's mask For that matter I haven't touched a whole lot on the N64 I've really only played In depth Mario Kart 64, Fzero X and Sin and Punishment
I havent really played any Nintendo 1st party other than a bit of Duck Hunt, the odd mario nes game and Mario Kart. Never played any Megaman or Final Fantasy.
There's a lot of titles that I would watch my brother play but never technically touched myself. Do those count?
I've never played Super Mario 64. I did play a couple levels of the DS version, though. I've never played Majora's Mask either, and I own it, box and manuals and all. I've never played Mario Sunshine, either. I've never really played any Sega Saturn. I've seen it played by others several times (they used to rent one out at one of the comic stores I frequented in the 90s) but I've never played any game on it, other than a few minutes of Dragon Ball Legends. I've never played Atari Jaguar either. I've never played God of War. I've never played Metal Gear Solid 3 (and I'm a huuuge fan of the first two - but 3 came out when I was starting in graduate school, so I never had the time). I've never played PS3. At all.
I've never played Final Fantasy 1-6. I've also never played Super Mario Bros. 3, though I want to. I have a working NES, I just haven't gotten around to buying SMB3 yet.
I thought GoH was going to write "an original unpirated game." Can't think of any big game I haven't played Although not really played CoD, GoW, KZ or any game that is just violent for violents sake...
I am feeling the same way, and reading some of these responses I am surprised! La-Li-Lo Go Play SMB3 NOW! Dynamite game. I haven't played... Killzone God Of War Breath Of Fire FF Tactics Diablo Starcraft Banjo Kazooie I dunno, I really can't think of many... Ima edit when people start posting things I can relate too! ;-)
Haven't played ANY RPG except for KOTOR 1, Grandia 2 and Illusion of Time - and even those I didn't finish. I dislike RPG's. Other than that, mmh what comes to mind... I haven't played Super Mario World. Hahah, you can hardly believe that, eh? I've played pretty much ALL Super Marios (SMB 1-3, USA, Yoshi's Island, 64, Sunshine, Land 1-3, NEW SMB for DS & Wii, Galaxy 1...) but not SMW. I always waited for a perfect occasion, but I never owned the game and haven't owned a Super Famicom/SNES for the past 5 years or so.
How do you play all the big name Mario's and you skip the greatest one of all? :-0 All I gotta say is, when that perfect occasion rolls around, you are gunna have one hell of a time!
Probably, that's one reason why I'm still saving it. Maybe I'll finally get to play it when I'm 85, sitting in a pajama in my comfy chair, sipping on a glas of bourbon. The next stroke could wait right around the corner, I should do it NOW. After opening the deteriorated packaging in a vaccum chamber and having cleaned the corroded contacts of the cartridge, I put it into my Super Famicom, also inside a vaccuum chamber. The screen lights up on my antique but still working RGB monitor my grand-children keep making jokes about, and I press start. Stage 1-1.... It's gonna be magical.
I hope the actuality of this occasion is as exciting as that story was, hahaha! Great stuff. :lol:Vacuum Chambered SNES... Now that's collecting!
Actually, I think I might've played the All-Stars version for like 5 seconds. I don't think that counts, though. I still have that version actually, but I think I should play the NES version. I can't really play SNES games now anyway, because my Super Famicom has more or less replaced my SNES Jr. I have to say though, as far as old-school platformers go, I think I actually like PC Genjin more than the original SMB. Sorry. But I've heard from many that SMB3 is the best Mario game, so I guess we'll see.
I've never played...Link's Awakening, Majora's Mask or Wind Waker, God of War 2 & 3, any of the Call of Duty games besides testing the demo for 4, WoW, any of the Final Fantasy games before VI/III or after X...
I've never played a Final Fantasy game, not one. Nor have I played any of the God of War games, absolutely ANYTHING that is prefixed by the word 'LEGO', Myst, Riven or anything like that, any of the Broken Sword's, not one single Lucas Arts game like Full Throttle etc, never once played a Monkey Island game, any turn-based RPG, any other type of RPG, Command & Conquer or any other RTS game, any of the Killzone games, Halo 2 or 3, in fact any FPS since the first Halo game including ALL of the C.O.D games, Uncharted 2, GOW 2, any of the GC or Wii Metroid's, any wrestling game of any kind, any Pokemon game besides Snap!, anything like Might and Magic or World of Warcraft, any of the Tomb Raider games after TR 2, any of the Dungeon Keeper or Populous type games, anything with 'Theme' in the title, any Sims game, anything even remotely related to Worms, any flight sim, any of the .Hack, Disgaea or any other titles of that ilk. The list goes on and on and on. My gaming preferences are very limited, maybe that's why I'm as jaded as I am and loathe and detest 90%+ of the titles I see on the shelves today and yearn for days gone by when games were simpler, brighter, cuter and just more fun instead of being sweary, super-realistic shooting frenzies, racing games where the emphasis is on creating decals for your spoiler and more ultra realism, sports franchises or 'Adventure games' like the Assassins Creed, Batman or Ninja Gaiden games. When the only thing on the gaming horizon that excites you is the prospect of a new 'Guitar Hero' or 'SingStar. release you know there's something wrong...
this I've finished Gears of War in Co-op, for the sake of playing nice with others but although I own the game I've never booted it up to play alone. Final Fantasy is one of those cases that I've never finished one because I get bored easily with RPGs, unless they have Mario in them.
I get bored by RPGs super-fast. I like to be in charge of what I do and how good I perform, and RPGs do not put you in charge whatsoever. I really liked Mario & Luigi 1 up to that one point when I couldn't beat the hard-headed queen. When I asked about a specific attack strategy or timing, I was told I should have simply done more grinding. That was when I decided to never play an RPG again.
