I played my "historical preservation" copy of skies of Arcadia to death!! Cos I be a historical preservationist GYARR!!!
Have you preserved an English language version or Japanese language version? Is it as good as many people say... and why?
My coffee's kicking in, so I'll tell you a story... Back in the day I was always pretty much a Nintendo man. I never really saw the appeal of any other Sega system, and when the Genesis (Mega Drive) came out I never got the appeal of Sonic, and I seriously didn't dig it's darker color palette as compared to N's brighter one. I eventually got into the TG-16, but that was beyond unpopular at the time, so I don't even include it in the running back then. So back then, even though my friends knew of my dislike of Sonic, they told me I had to play Sonic CD; but I passed. Then later in life I worked at a used game store and had plenty of opportunity to play Sonic CD... and I still passed. So, like 18 years pass without me having ever played Sonic CD. Then this year I pick up a LaserActive with both Sega and NEC PACs. Same store has a copy of Sega CD for 100 yen, and I need something to properly test the system, so I get it. Loved Sonic CD. It's the reason I bought a Sega WonderMega.
We had a Sonic the hedgehog annual. I remember seeing Sonic CD and lust over it when I was a kid. I believe we had a Sega CD but that was before my time. Sometime in my early days of internet usage I think I ''digitally preserved'' it and jesus. I've never owned a Sega CD and it and have never played it since then but if Id've found one cheap when I was still collecting I'dve snapped it up. Maybe one day :love2:
*hangover and hungry ouch!* erm English copy, would say it's better than people say...it has a fantastic story impressive graphics (for the time) and flying ships plus you play a freaking pirate!!!! Enough said
Never played any of those as well, while playing a lot of N64 games I only started when the console had already died off here so never picked those up. But I am playing Zelda OOT on the 3ds at the moment (suffering with the Volcano? Boss though) and I personally would think the game would be a 100x better if it had better camera controls , but 3rd person games from the area normally had that problem, for me.
I've never played a game from the new game systems (PS3,360,Wii) although I have a GameBoy Advance and a DS. :/ =Hugh
After reading another thread I just realised I've never played counterstrike, then I realised that I've never played a fps on the pc EVER!!!!
Am I the only one who only owns previous generation console, and who uses his PC to play current-generation games?
Really, honestly I have never played a new gen console. I don't have a HD tv, and thought you needed to have one to play a 360 or PS3. For the same reason I don't have a Blue Ray player. I was thinking of buying a PS3, but like I said. No HD tv. :crying: My new gen systems end with the X-Box and the GameCube. =Hugh
I have had a PS3 and SDTV for quite a while now. No, it is not ideal but it can be done. Only recently did I get an LCD monitor for my PC with DVI and an HDMI->DVI cable. I definitely don't play my PS3 any MORE now. The main problem is reading text sometimes. It can be downright difficult.
There are tons of popular 'must-haves' that I've never played. No big deal. I'm not lacking anything for not having done so.
