Wouldn't change much, if the guy has 2000$ to spend, it's not $30 or $100 that will make a difference.

 

Well, going by his other bids, he's mainly into Sports Memorabilia (cards), but dabbles in crystal minerals and antiques.

I guess this guy has money behind him, I also doubt we will see a dump of that cart anytime soon :-(

 

Who knows the identity of this guy? We could make him an offer to get the rom !

Can't. Ebay hid the names in the feedback as well now. Unless you knew who it was prior to the auction your just out of luck.

I bid and still don't see anywhere where his full name is shown. So you were in the bidding, too?

Going by his spending habits, I doubt any amount of money would win him over for obtaining the cart. Wish a ROM dump were possible in some way.

 

Tossed a small bid on it, but I've spent a few thousand on protos lately and didn't want to make a serious run at this one.

As for how to find out who won, it takes some searching, but it can be done.

We don't exactly know what made the admins delete a thread with lots of interesting screenshots and stuff. Jayfenwick says he sent the money back to the donators and that he is tired of forums and suspicious people thus not returning:

EDIT: Now we know what happened, I wrote this post at the same time of the above post.

 

I thought it was rather odd being that he was a new member, and trying to raise alot of money to release a ROM. I wasn't aware of any long time member vouching for him either. So I wasn't surprised when the thread disappeared. I'm sure we'd all like to see the beta released but we also wouldn't want to see someone run off with thousands of dollars and leaving the donators with lighter pockets.

 

I was not very familiar with Marketplace rules as I'm not into buying or selling anything here, but reading the rules I can only say that I completely understand and agree with it. Unfortunately this proto may be "lost" again, but... life goes on.
