Castlevania Bloodlines prototype/beta version

All the project is explained in detail in romhacking. It's very ambitious but it will be very cool if it works.

 

So I'm a little lost: you're looking for someone to hack the content from the proto into the finished game, or to make an IPS patch from differences between the two? Because the former would take a complete disassembly and study of the game's code to boot for some of those features.

Man, it's so expensive, I really hope someone releases a rom dump, that way the data could be preserved for many more years than only being inside a cart...

 

My Bad bringing up a dead topic, but does anyone know what happened with this?, rom dumped?, has the original copy changed hands?
anyone ever get one of the repro's?

Seems like all information on this stopped on February 2014.

 

The ver 0.10 (or however it was labelled) was recently sold on Yahoo Auctions for a very high BiN along with retail copies of the US and JP versions of game. The person who won via BiN hasn't made himself known.

 

I think the guy who was hacking Jayfenwick's copy got busy with real life. Plus I think the burn from having spent $3,000 for a ROM made him not want it out anytime immediately even if the hack were ready.

 

Well at least Be able too see a english/spanish version of Samurai Showdown rpg soon which I beat in japanese using a faq.

But someone's 60% translated it thanks be to the sun.

But yea... that's all I want, play that in english. And this castlevania.... sigh

Alright, I'll come clean and say I won that auction. Had it on Nintendo Age past couple days but I don't think anyone here noticed. I'm looking for a good trade-off, so anyone interested go ahead and let me know. Posted it here on marketplace.
