Abslolutley nothing for myself, my wife and I spent all of our money on our 9 month old son's first christams. He really is too young to understand, but it was fun to see him play with all his stuff for about 2 minutes and get bored and then start playing with the boxes it all came in.

I can understand. My daughter is 2. The last 2 years were more like that this year was a blast. Since a Wii has not been in site and my local Target had a bunch of PS3's I bought the family a PS3 and ,for my daughter, I made sure we had the retro hotwheels mongoose and snake set, dad wanted the cars and always wanted to race them down the stairs using the classic hot wheels track. My wife wasn't sure who the bigger kid was today but we all had allot of fun.

I got some money (which went straight to the bank) and I got myself a Wiimote and some used computer accessories from a friend. I also get to study for 2 huge exams and prepare one more essay, so I m going to spend my new year and holidays studying alone in the UK instead of being with my family. Thanks Santa for fucking it up.

iPod 4Gb (from the wife and kids)
Permission to purchase a 360 dev kit (negotiated carefully with wife)
Metallica "This monster lives", which is the book on the filming of...
Metallica "Some kind of monster" DVD

But mostly the day belongs to our 3 children, which is where the bulk of the family cash went! They had a great Christmas and that meant I did to.

Before it was a "family" holiday, it was a holiday where peasants rioted in the streets and rudely barged into rich people's houses, not unlike Halloween, and was condemned by most of the churches.

hmmm .... christmas is a word made out of two words Christ, and Mass. But in reality, in the pagan times, then the christians had to have a counterpart to yule, and saturnalia. So they thought "why not just copy theirs, and tell them it was christs birthday ? then we hit two flies with one swap ! ". So they did that. And lo and behold every body forgot magically, that christmas was in reality, the celebration of light. Since it was the birth of our saviour.

If you believe in Christ of course.
