Inspired by the recent Pro System 16 SNES clone, I've made this new thread. Let's keep all our clone hardware finds in here.

    RULES
Only one rule really, no modern system on a chip clones. They are a dime a dozen and of no interest. Let's only post hardware clones that were actually built with various chips. These are much more interesting.

I'll start of with the Taiwanese Batong Sunsonic Multimedia Computer. It's actually a Famicom with backup unit and TV built in!

Something that I've always wanted, the "24bit" Mega Drive clone built in to a Joystick!

What you get by mixing the Atari 7800 console design, the MegaDrive controller and a clone Nes hardware?

The most popular and succesful Brazilian Nes clone, the Gradiente Phantom System.

If that wasn't funny enough, years later Gradiente itself and Estrela (a toy company) formed a join venture called Playtronic, that had the official rights to manufacture and sell Nintendo products in Brazil. Starting from 1993, they released the Nes, Super Nintendo, Gameboy, Virtual Boy and the Nintendo 64.

By 1996, Estrela sold it's shares to Gradiente, that now started to run the whole company. The Playtronic brand was slowly replaced by Gradiente Entertainment. They kept releasing official Nintendo products till 2003.

I really want a working one of those Batong 686/Batong Sunsonic Multimedia Computers, if anyone finds one then please let me know. :p

I have a few Famiclones lying around, but they're nothing special. Just the regular "FC Dual" type.

There's an unending list of clones I could show off, so I'll start with a very peculiar Dynacom console. By the way, it is EXTREMELY, INDESCRIBABLY AND UNIMAGINABLY RARE! I've never seen it for sale and I've been scrutinizing online sales listings for quite some time. First and foremost, Dynacom is a Brazilian clone company renown for its Dynavision series. Its clones ranged from the classical Atari to the run-out-of-the-mill NES clones and the rather rare Mega Drive clone named Megavision. Striving to fill a void in the national market, Dynacom decided to produce a seemingly portable console device for educational purposes, which just so happened to also be an Atari 2600 clone! Obviously, it was a mere coincidence that it could play games from it. Regardless, this Atari Clone was named the Megaboy (it's not really portable because it doesn't have its own screen, it's just a fake blue sticker on its due place):

It transmitted the image wirelessly to the television, so it must have been quite the novelty back then, as much as it is today. As it was targeted at children as a learning tool, Dynacom took the effort to actually develop its own unique game! It had many educational games, including an English quiz for memorization of vocabulary - I bet it would terrify children and scare them away from English. The game is actually even MORE UNBELIVABLY RARE THAN THE CONSOLE ITSELF! WHY? Because it has 64kb of data, whilst Atari 2600 only have 32kb. Not even flashcarts can play this game. I shiver at the thought of the inaccessible marvels of an educational game I'll never be able to play properly in the real hardware - an Atari one at that -. At the very least it has been dumped not too long ago.

The Megaboy educational game is on the left, in comparison to a standard cartridge on the right.

Most information and content was taken from here if anyone would be particularly interested: http://dabliogames.blogspot.com.br/2014/11/cartucho-do-megaboy-dynacom.html

As an extra, here's an exclusive official Sega licensed Brazilian Master System produced by TecToy. It's not a clone, but the real deal! It also transmits the image wirelessly to the TV. And it's pink. It takes after a very famous comic book character.[IMG]

But how's it a SOC when there are several chips on the pcb?
Also, they don't make these anymore. They've stopped being produced mid 2000s. I've talked to several people at the main modern mega drive clone factory in Shenzhen about it (ie main md clone factory in the world).

true americandad it does have ram externally mounted from the chip, so it's technincally not, even though the main chip has multiple chips combined.

So those are RAM? I have no clue about electronics, you see, all those PCBs and chips mean nothing to me.

Early Micro Genius systems were full clones. They had copies of the cpu and other chips.

You beat me to it :) I was just about to mention the Micro Genius stuff.

They were very close copies of the Famicom - the chips even had the same pinout.
