Are you sure, Greatsaintlouis?, i remember seeing some screenshots of the GBA game a while back, heck, now that i think about it, it was in the developers website. I am gonna have to check again.
Here is another game that i would like to be dumped, Ninja, for the Sega Saturn. Yeah, it came out on Playstation, and was a mediocre game at best, but still. The game was being developed primarly for Saturn, and i remember reading somewere, that Core was having problems making the PS version run as smooçth as the Saturn version, aparently, they also were using transparencies on the Saturn . As the Saturn began to fade, they only relased the PS game, and screenshot of the Saturn version were never seen, weird.
Another Core title that i would like to see anything of, is Tomb Raider 2 for Saturn.
Destruction Derby 2 for Saturn seemed to be pretty advanced in development, but was canned, as well as Legacy of Kain, someone has to have these 2, right?.

No, it's real. Registration is both required and recommended to read this. There are lots of great articles at Gama, may as well get it over with:

Yeah, I have one too but it's no good under win XP plus it never really worked that well and fiddly as hell with all those bloody DOS commands. Do you have a different one with a GUI ?

Nah, It's their loyality to the company that is the problem. I can't really think of one game that's leaked out of the Japanese side of a mejor developer.

They're bloody idiots I say ! Take what you can when you can !! Luckily the younger generation are becoming a bit more "savy" with the old farts that run most Japanese companies so we may just see something in the future or then again maybe not.

  6. My bad, looks like there really was/is (That article's only from last November) a Shantae Advance in the works. This is the first I've ever heard of it! It would definately be neat if they found a publisher, though, although with the upcoming Sigma Star Saga it may have been pushed to a back burner. And I've had a Gamasutra registration for a while, it's definately an amazing site. Half of the time, their Post Mortem features are alone the hassle of the registration.

And then he could pass it off to his goons, and before you know it the game would be released everywhere but here, and long before it was supposed to be. I don't think anyone wants another Propeller Arena release fiasco. :angry

How did I end up forgetting about the Saturn conversions of Destriction Derby 2 and Formula One? I know for sure that the former was cancelled when Psygnosis signed a console exclusivity deal with Sony, and the latter allegedly disappeared because the developers failed to complete the Sega version within the license expiry date set by the FIA for producing a title based on the 1996 season.

Instead of updating the roster, Bizarre Creations simply turned their attention to the PS '97 edition. Although brilliant on the PlayStation, I've never liked how track polygons seem to break up so regularly, which might not have been such a problem on the Saturn. Oh well, there's always F-1 Live Information to keep me happy (yeah, right)!

On the subject of F1 (sort of), wasn't Virgin Interactive working on some kind of racing managament game for the Saturn as well? Also, because they were busy on something else, AM1 handed conversion duties of Indy 500 to Interplay - how come we didn't get to see anything of this, either?

Finally, Project Sonic was released in two parts, the first being Sonic Jam and the second was Sonic R. As far as I know, Sonic Team was planning another Saturn title, but this most likely started off as what later became the Sonic World portion of Sonic Jam before evolving into Sonic Adventure. I still don't understand why so many people confuse Project Sonic with Sonic X-Treme, as the ill-fated Saturn flagship title wasn't even created by Sonic Team. Two separate developers using the same codename during a similar time frame? In my opinion, this seems virtually impossible unless all that fan site speculation isn't as far from the truth as we generally think it is (once again, I'm not convinced)...

Interplay has been on again off again the verge of bankruptcy for years so it's only a matter of time.

  12. ...Old news, Interplay went fully bust last year.

Tomb Raider 2 was probably a pretty early version, as I remember a lot being changed near the end of TR2's development (graphical enhancements and whatnot).

I remember EGM saying that "the Saturn version of Legacy of Kain actually ran better than the PSX version". I'd guess that Legacy of Kain was almost (if not) completed to make a statement like that.

Thanks a lot karsten :happyhap: Now I can continue work on my ever going project of "The Sega Saturn Intro DVD" I've noticed that if you rip Cinipack direct to DVD resolution and play it back on a TV then it doesn't look that bad at all. I know Sega released 2 or was it just 1 DVD of Saturn intros but it was missing cool stuff.

anyone have any information on the vectorman game for the ps2? I read about it in gamepro a while back and now you dont hear anything about it. Psuedo Interactive, the team that is supposted to be working on the project, doesnt even have an email adress on their site so I cant get any info. if someone had a beta that would be even better, and I would be willing to shell out a lot of cash for it.
