Consolized MVS in AES

I'm just about finished building my consolized MVS into a broken AES.

Some time ago I bought a broken AES, which had a hole right in the center. I made a tread, where I asked how to fix and paint this: http://assemblergames.com/l/threads/broken-aes-shell-fixin-n-paintin.55100/

After fixing the hole I discovered that the AES actually worked perfectly fine. So I was unsure wether or not I should use the shell to house a MV-1C as originally intended, or if I should just fix the hole and keep it as an AES instead. This made me put the AES on the shelf for a long time, but I eventually came to the conclusion that I did not want to start collecting for the AES, as the prices for that system is insane compared to MVS, which has 100% identical games (if you use a Unibios).
So a little over a month ago I bought a MV-1C and started gutting the system, and today I picked up the shell after painting it a few days ago. Everything has turned out pretty well I think

Here's a picture of the inside:

- I tried keeping everything as neat and tidy as possible. The system can be taken apart without having to desolder anything, which is always nice
Caps were replaced, Unibios installed, White LED light added to the reset button, and a new rechargeable battery was added.

I just need to add the Dual Frequency Oscillator mod, so this thing can run in proper 59.94Hz rather than the obscure 59.18 it does by default. I have all the parts already, I'm just waiting for the PCBs I ordered

very very nicely done. not sure I approve of removing the edge connector btu everything else is dope here.

 

The edge connector? You mean the Jamma connector on the MV-1C? It's just covered with electrical tape. It's still there ;p

Still have the motherboard. It's completely intact and working. Not sure what to do with it though

 

You could make it into an AES arcade cabinet.

 

I have no interest in the AES. It's far too expensive considering you can get the exact same games on the MVS usually for far less

I'm probably just going to sell it.

Very nice! What values are you using for the RGB voltage divider, as I can't tell from the picture? I don't have this version of MVS, so I'm also wondering if the RGB tapping point equivalent to the JAMMA card edge ?
