^^ i would disagree, if you cant ship within 2 weeks your a bad seller, i personally can only ship on Wednesday or Thursday as it dosnt interfere with my studies and i dont trust my national post office to deliver anything of value so cant send during the weekends. yeah 6 months is a long time but come one if its something very major it can throw you off for a while, ive had parcels take 2 months before from dano but he was always compliant and gave me details at what was happening so this seems very out of character for him.

600 euro is quite important and should not be neglected .

Time has nothing to do with shipping honestly.

I wake up at 4am Monday - Friday , Go to the Gym , Drop off boxes at the post office , Drive 2 hours to work , Work Nine hours then drive two hours back home. If you are going to sell things , learn to ship things.

Shipping items to people is just as important as your essay or w/e your school work includes. If you have no time to ship don't sell , simple as that.

I LOVE the fact that you are judging this seller before you, as well as everyone else, know what is really going on. I agree that 6 months is a long time, I would ask for a charge back if I didn't get it within a month, but who knows what could have happened to him.

And I also agree with sneaky, try telling a reputable company "I want it shipped tomorrow." let alone telling a single person who has a life of his own that, as issues can tend to arise with ones personal life.

I have dealt with this seller in the past as well, no issues with receiving my items.

I agree that the money is important, and anyone without their product has every right to be mad or whatever. But the fact is that it is extremely weird that it is happening in the first place, especially since I completed a deal with him not long before all of this. Something obviously happened for him to not sign in at all. Again, not saying that it is okay, but the fact is that if he hasn't been here, something serious likely happened, and money or not, it could be quite a bit more serious than we think. Members have had serious accidents happen in the past. Hope for the best regardless.

Why the hell would you take that long? You do know that you can only make a dispute for 45 days.
dont tell me it was sent as a gift, cause that's just plain dumb.
I never bought stuff from this guy but simply put I would NOT buy an item from someone if it took that long to arrive. If anything, I'd a pay extra and demand for faster shipping. I never dick around when I sell and I typically use one of the fastest shipping methods unless the buyer wants a different (slower) one.

If you know the kind of stuff dano2k0 often deals in, you'd know it's often stuff that quite simply you could spend years waiting for another opportunity to buy, if ever. I think a lot of people will give a bit more latitude as a buyer in those circumstances. That said, I'm sure the original poster has tried multiple times to get in touch with him. As for why he's waited this long to say something publicly, I'm sure like me it's also out of respect for the reputation of a seller who many people here know to be genuine and has a reputation for being realiable.

6 months is too long really no matter what is going on but previous to this Dan had an almost perfect trading reputation on the forum and he has been a member here for a long time.
I have a feeling there is more to the problem than meets the eye so let's not jump to any conclusions and just try to get in contact with him so this problem can be resolved.

I'd like to address the PayPal GIFT issue that a few people have brought up -
I myself only ever accept payments via the GIFT option for the simple reason that it has taken a lot of time and a lot of hard work for me to build up a good, honest reputation on the forum. I'd like to think that buyers can come to the forum, read my feedback thread and know that the money they send is going to be a sound investment. The GIFT option allows me to circumvent certain fees meaning I get the price I intended to sell the item for and also safeguard myself from possible claim backs.

It wouldn't be very hard for a new member to register to the forum, purchase an item and then proceed to do a claim back. I am then out of pocket and out of an item.
The nature of a lot of the items sold on this forum also leave me, as a seller, in a sticky situation. If I have to prove value of an item sold (the price a person pays doesn't always constitute its value) how do I go about doing so on let's say... an Xbox development kit which legal ownership is very much a grey area or maybe a PS3 press kit which never had a retail price to begin with?

If I feel I can trust the seller then I have no problem sending my payments as a GIFT. If the seller is new to the forum and cannot backup there sales with feedback of any kind then yes, tread carefully.
In this instance, if the payment was sent as a GIFT, I would 100% have done the exact same.

What we need to concentrate on is trying to contact Dan and resolving the problem so that the OP can either get his items or a refund.

And Mack is a man of his word I have never seen stuff shipped so fast he lives on the west coast and I live on the east coast in my items take no more than 4 days to arrive from the date I order. Anyhow I really hope it isnt something bad as to why the seller hasn't come through.

I can speak from experience sometimes life gets in the way with shipping. I took a year to ship things to a couple of buyers before, something I'm trying not to let repeat again. It mostly comes down to character, and despite having always sent stuff on time in the past, I then got tired and despite having been paid, practically forgot I had anything to send, and when I did remember I just put in the back of my mind thinking I'll get to it eventually. It's sadly pretty easy to fall into that procrastination trap :/ I've so far not been letting it happen anymore, and if Dano comes back he might do the same after getting a pretty stern message. I'll openly admit I ended up doing this with a member here, and after a couple nice messages of "no rush" over several months, eventually he got pissed and put me in my place, and that whooped my ass into gear. Sometimes you just need that motivation.

I would fully agree though if this was done through paypal, you shoulda done something back then. The thing with the people who bought from me is they never really pursued me much after I was taking months to send anything. The procrastination thing works on both sides oddly enough, even when its your own money at stake. I've even done it a couple times myself, generally because it's easy to want to trust people and you don't really feel like making a fuss when you're not in a huge rush anyway, with other deals keeping you occupied etc.. Not too hard to see how situations like this end up happening.

Dude, wtf. I find it very hard to imagine to "forget" and "put it in the back of my mind" when there has been a deal. Once I see the money in my account, the FIRST thing I do is to ship out. I also feel the immediate urge to show the buyer that he was not wrong trusting me.

Back to topic: I also bought something from Dano2k0 two years ago. PM replies were slow but eventually everything worked out fine. Hope you get your item or your money back soon!

Yea I PayPal everything outside of eBay as well. I do not gift for jack I would rater pay the $5 fee and protect my $$$ than get robbed. If you did a PayPal transaction you should have demanded a refund no more than 2-3 weeks after the payment being sent. 6 Months is way too long and you may want to take the pain from the bullet and let it heal. Unless like others are saying maybe something has happened to him and he was never able to finish the transactions from earlier this year.

You wouldnt be able to buy from me with that stance. People protecting themselves works both ways, like kiff said - the seller is also at risk. If you wanted to buy from me not as a gift - you would need to pay the fee and also tracked shipping (likely tripling the cost of anything you order from me). Also, demand a refund after 2 weeks? International orders can easily take longer than that.

Personally when I don't get a response from someone I've bought something from for more than 1 week, I contact them again. 600 Euros is a lot of money, with that amount I would of really pursued why my item wasn't shipped within 2 weeks or so. Kiff would know what I'm talking about :p but with that being said, and from what others are saying I doubt he's trying to scam the OP at all. He could of ran into some personal problems or events, simply could of just forgotten about the whole deal also.

6 months is some time I ago sure, but usually that amount of time means somethings not right at all. Hopefully nothing has happened to the guy, sounds like he was a good seller.

I purchased something from Dano2k0 last November, he said it would be sent out asap. I never heard anything back so i chased him up. Dano said he had been busy and it was due to be collected at the end of the week. So fair enough, a couple of weeks later i had got nothing so got in touch with him. He thought i had received the item and got in touch with the courier, apparently the item had been lost in transit.

I must admit i was a bit worried i had been scammed at this point, however he was very apologetic and offered to send me another out, then make a claim. By this time it was Christmas and i wasn't really in a rush at the moment in time. We both agreed it wasn't the best time to be posting something and that it was fine for him to send it out in the new year, i got the item mid January and all was good.

It wasn't the most smooth transaction in the world, however credit where credit is due Dano did go out of his way to make things right for me and always replied to my PM's with great detail.

I was interested in something else he was thinking of selling, he offered to personally drive up to me and deliver it if i purchased it after the problem we had with a courier before.

As he's not been on here for a while i believe something must be up, as others has said he has an excellent trading rep on here and in private. However 6 months is a long time and i would be pretty annoyed by that point too if i was you. I do have an email address for him if you wish me to PM that to you.

Hope you managed to get things sorted out soon.

    Hey guys,

Firstly please let me say how deeply sorry I am for going missing for some months.

Please can I urge no one to panic, nearly everyone has got their stuff, there are just a couple of people as per this thread who are still owed their items. They will 100% get these without question. I have never scammed anyone in my life and do my best for everyone.

I previously messaged some months ago a few selected members here to try and explain where I had been and where there had been delays as I had been missing for weeks / months previous to my last log in.

Basically I really don't want to get into details of everything I have been through the last few months on an open forum. I will however tell you it feels like I have been through hell and back. As some people already know, I lost my best friend, followed shortly after my grandad whom I was very close to which hurt really bad. I have had all sorts of stuff going on and been in and out of hospital over the last few months. It has been a real up hill struggle and I really hope no one here has to go through what I have.

I haven't been able to work, lost the internet, lost my emails due to it lapsing also.

Can I just put in a big thanks for all those who have commented here and verified it is not me to go missing and to confirm how legit I am / have been and the reputation I have worked hard to maintain here.

Those who think things have not been acceptable are correct. I too would have been very angry should this happen to me, but I know now and can completely understand this is the internet and it may sound horrible but at some times in life this stuff comes at such a low priority vs other major issues.

I have not simply dissapeared without good reason and those who know me better also know this. It has never been my intention to upset anyone or do wrong by anyone so those who think otherwise need to try and think in reality.

With regards to the OP, my wife maintained at least some communication with the buyer by email until it lapsed and we lost communication. I am working on sorting this and getting this back up and running also for anyone who wishes to email again.

Anyway, the bottom line is I actually had a pretty decent new year considering the year I had previously so with all hopes and wishes for a good 2013 for everyone. There are alot of big changes now coming into my life and all should be for the better.

I'm back and here to stay and will now set to work on getting peoples stuff sent out, I owe two people who are in this thread some items, which I should get sent out mid next week. I will be making contact with these members to confirm details and get this sorted.

Hopefully people can be understanding on the situation and whilst some members have been upset, hopefully I can put things right.

I have probably missed stuff out here, but hopefully I have covered all the main points.

Members have been contacted to get things moving, awaiting their responses to hopefully get this all wrapped up.

Oh and just to add, I have not received any letter. It may be that with the mess I have been in, it has been miss-placed by someone or perhaps it has not arrived yet?

I followed this thread at the sideline, And wish you and all people involved the best wishes for 2013.
Somehow I think the Internet "do" care about each other, somehow, for some reason sometimes, but at least we care.
    And I'm happy your back.
