Hey guys, I've been doing a lot of searching and most of the sites hosting this information have gone down(X-S). I just successfully installed my first X2.6CE chip in my v.1.6 xbox and can access flash bios but don't know how exactly to go from here. I chose to use "x2_5035_v16plus_512k.bin" but I want to change the flubber colors and the X logo color. What tool can I use to do this? I tried EVtool but I think that is Evox bios only bc it fails to load the bios stating "Kernel Extraction Failed". Then I need to burn the customized bios to a CD and flash but don't know if the bios need a specific name or format on the disc. Sorry for the n00b questions but as I said before a lot of this info is gone from the internet now.

    Thanks, ToXZiN 1

    Shouldn't that be xbtool ?
The way to get your bios on your modchip is different for every modchip. The modern ones host a web interface and allow to upload and flash a bios simply over the network. Some of the older chips require methods almost identical to tsop flash ones.

It's "XBtool", yes. The X2, though, is one of those bioses that read an .ini file from the HDD so if all you want is to change some colors around you don't even need a tool, or to flash a new bios.

It's called x2ool and it's used to create a x2config.ini for the bios he's using.

XBTool is for editing older x2 bios.
( never used it on 5035 as there is no need )

Thanks guys! I got it flashed. Scared me for a second when the bowser just kept spinning during the flash process but it finally went thru.

Thanks for the info everyone! Got it up and running with EvoX installed.
