Might as well curse whatever grammar checker you used, while you're at it.

XP Mode sucks anyway, it's based on VM.
So basically you can just run a VM of a genuine XP installation to run your old apps.
    Virtual PC is for free.

Well that makes me feel alittle better.

But Vista Home premium is also missing Presentation Mode (WHY? Vista Home premium has it...) The other features that I won't bother listing sound cool too...

BUT BLAH...I was looking foward to having Virtual XP mode.. now I may have to GULP actually pay for Windows 7 ultimate...

Well I guess I can't complain too much, It was a free upgrade disc.

Does your processor even support the hardware virtualization or whatever it is?

Dude. home premium is the low-end version. What made you think it will have more features?? Always check MS's site...

More of user error than the company's fault...

Vista home premium came with my laptop I didn't see anything in Business that I needed.

Then I think maybe I'll get some nice extras with WIN7 then I heard about Virtual XP mode and I don't know if I'll need it but it's a nice thing to have.

Point is though they didn't give me a version choice in the upgrade. It's bad enough laptops make you create your own recovery discs now the least they could've done is given me a choice

It will be a nice thing to have even though you dont know what it does, if you can run it, or if you even need it.

Why don't you take this as an opportunity to switch to something else, like Haiku for example...
