    Still no communication from Dave...<crickets>

Similar situation this time last year on eBay. So maybe he will return on Nov 25, 2014?

    (Nov-25-13 07:24):
I was in the hospital and not able to check emails. I am fixing this problem!

A friend of mine once wanted to buy full CPS-2 cabinet from a guy, which was known to be very reliable. Suddenly that guy went silent and nobody heard anything from him for more than a year. And suddenly that cabinet arrives with a letter from a mother of a seller - poor dude died in a car accident and she discovered the stuff later when she decided to use his PC.

I hope it's nothing like that.

Regardless of his situation, don't forget that you only have 45 days to submit a claim with PayPal... so I guess everyone is long past that now. You may be able to request a refund from your credit card company if you paid by card, though.... but probably only over a certain amount.

Naturally, it's really sad if he is unwell and we all wish him a speedy recovery. You need to think about your own interests, though. If it comes to it, you can always reorder an item when he has returned, if you cancel.

The problem for me is he has about 1500.00 dollars worth of my stuff thats not easily replaced:( 3 xbox Dreamx consoles, one other xbox with the trusty upgrade for repair, trusty board with his new dual processor upgrade, and a 1.4 trusty board. I sure hope he returns. I really cant get anything back through credit cards since its all hardware stuff he has of mine:( I sure hope that hes as good a guy like everyone says he is and he returns and gets everybody back there stuff. Im remaining hopeful for the time being. Please if anybody heres a anything please post.

I'm sorry to say this but I'm really starting to think that the injury store is false. He would have had time to reach out to us personally by now, the silence is really just showing a lack of caring in my opinion at this point.

I'm personally out about $700 dollars on things I've purchased from him that I'm residing to the fact that I will never see. Things from a Debug xbox to a Crystal X3CP with x3ce chip to an Xtender kit. Lots of awesome things that I was really looking forward to receiving. I even sent him a older x2.3b pro modchip that needed some repairs which I doubt I will see again. Its LONG past any chance of making a Paypal claim at this point since this was way back in August. It just goes to show, DON'T EVER USE THE "FRIENDS AND FAMILY" PAYMENT OPTION ON PAYPAL. It will just screw you over...

Im sorry to hear that dude:( Im so upset and feel i was taken advantage of!!! I know of 2 other people he said he would get back to them when he was better and they have heard nothing from him. Its really sad when you put allot of trust in someone and they screw you over. I pretty much believe now that all the hard earned money i used to buy all the stuff i sent to him i will probably never see again:( will the person that heard from david please respond and give us some news or an update.

The address I have for him (Where I sent my Modchip) is in Florida if I remember correct... Little too far to drive since I'm in Washington.

Nearly three months ago, I suggested writing him a letter and sending it recorded delivery (requiring a signature). Has anyone done this?

Mark it IF UNDELIVERED, PLEASE RETURN. If it is refused, they'll probably mark it refused in the system. If it is undeliverable, it'll come back to you. And if he (or someone else) signs for it, you'll have a copy of the signature.

For now, leave it at that on the outside. Maybe start the actual letter off with a headline to his family - something like "I've heard David was involved in an accident, so if a family member reads this, please do continue reading. Please pass my best wishes on and hopes for a speedy recovery. I would appreciate it if you would call me on (number) as I have an outstanding transaction with David and am out of pocket."

If it doesn't come back to you, but it's not his signature, you could then send another in the same manner. This time, write on the top - URGENT - RESPONSE REQUIRED TO AVOID LEGAL ACTION. On the back, write a note - if David is unable to read this at present, would the recipient please open and read this letter.

If he's confined to bed, he'll have a carer or family member looking after him. If he's in hospital, he still has to pay rent, utilities - someone's going to look after his place. It's highly unlikely that a letter won't get seen.

If you get the letter back, or don't get a reply, contact his local police station and ask for advice.

I'll likely give this a go myself. I'll just have to see if I can find my shipment receipt with his address on it. I think it may be out in the center console of my car.

I was actually able to find his address in my old chat history with him.

Surly he's had a chance to respond since his accident now :/. I'm still hoping he will resurface soon. I paid around USD700 for my stuff I have yet to receive. He was very insistent to pay with the "friend's and family" option in PayPal, this seems a bit sus to me now :(.

Except if he's paralyzed, he should have at least logged in to his account.
This seems very suspicious, but bad things can happen.

I wonder if XboxSurgeon has had any more contact with him.

Also can anyone confirm his real name is David Thomas? Please PM me.

I also wonder if he's created a new account on the site here. Moderators/staff; is there a way to cross reference david's last known ip with any other users. I know its a long-shot but just curious.

All good ideas my friends. If anybody hears anything please update us all. There is a website for online crimes and fraud. I'm going to pursue this if he doesn't get back to us very soon. Ill post the webpage if anybody is interested?

I think we have all been scammed by David Thomas. Back in July I sent him a bunch of Xbox modchips and parts in trade for an XCM case. I didn't hear from him for weeks. Said he was busy. Then months go by and he says his Grandfather passed away and his Grandmother passed away. Then he says he was in New York. Then I don't hear from him at all. I tried to email him many times and he just straight up avoided me. I will help anybody who wants to team up and fixed this.
