I've played with mine... SNES isn't all that playable; not due to poor sound but because the emulator hasn't been optimized at all (this compared to playing on a Macbook or console). NES runs fine for most things, though it doesn't even pass the basic CPU accuracy test that are the basic standard now. I didn't have any other ROMs to test the other systems yet. On a side note, the firmware looks to be completely customizable down to the font.
gah I was gonna get this for snes. Im glad I held off to see some responses, Ill hold off till there is more development with this on the snes side of it.
Got mine today... I love it. The SDK is open (though no sign of English documentation yet), the default emulators are just thrown in to keep the owner busy until someone tries to port some decent emulators written in C++. BTW the emulators are executable files, not part of the firmware. More info here: http://www.dingoo-digital.com/
Sorry to bump this, but some time ago (in May or June I think) Linux was released for the Dingoo and Picodrive and Snes9x have been ported, Genesis games now don't present that diagonal screen tearing, Snes games now run a lot better. I don't own a Dingoo, but today I ordered one and because of that I found all this info.
How easy is it to develop for? I tried to look for some SDK information but it seems kind of sketchy. I'd assume developing for the open Linux firmware would be much easier.
Blaze just announced an English version of this. http://www.mcvuk.com/news/35351/Blaze-unveils-Dingoo-handheld-system -hl718
How the hell are they going to get away with selling that thing in the UK? China is fine but in a country which is highly against piracy I can't see this being allowed unless BLAZE officially license all the games which they couldn't afford to do even if the companies allowed them. Yakumo
Blaze is also giving it a RRP of £79.99 which is quite a bit more than if you were to buy one from the likes of Deal Extreme or another seller offering up the Chinese original. What I think is really sad is that Blaze didn't even change the *NAME* of the damn thing. As for games, I'm sure Blaze is selling it sans ROMs. http://www.blazeeurope.com/sega/dingoo-a320-gaming-emulator/prod_76.html -hl718
Ya, at first I was confused because the name suggested that they just sell the product in a diffrent territory now, vs actually branding a product as their own.
