A few days , i was playing on my playstation 2 : Dino Crisis 2 ! During my childhood , i spent a lot of time in front of my tv screen for try to escape the dinosaurs ( hihihi ). For the time the game was really good and even after 10 years i continue to play it. Capcom has made a Dino Crisis 3 on the playstation 2 , but it was not really what i'm looking for. :fresh: Put dinosaurs in the space ; was not really good It's was better to put them inside the jungle  Can you see a gameplay's video : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=olBuesWz_l8&feature=related And you ? Do you have an opinion about the Dino Crisis's game?
Kinda enjoyed them, but wasn't a big fan of the series, or RE to be honest. Dino Crisis 3 was one of those rare franchise-killingly terrible sequels.
It looked crap so I never bothered. I just stuck wth RE, RE2, Code Veronica and RE5 instead I didn't get around to playing the other RE games yet. I'd play Dino Crisis if you put it on for me though but I'd be in no hurry.
I have to admit, I've not played any of the games. I've though about going back and trying 1 & 2 because they do seem interesting. I guess I avoided them at first because it was RE with dinosaurs and I wasn't very hot on RE (I was in the Silent Hill camp, which is now burned to the ground).
I remember when it came out, it basically felt like RE but with DINOSAURS RAWR. And it did manage to scare the pants out of me. Had tons of fun watching my friend play it. When I was young I got scared easily, when Starcraft Brood war came out and I saw the intro video , it gave me the worst nightmares that I was being eaten alive by Zerg o______o
Dino Crisis 3 was finally released for Xbox only although it was supposed to be a PS2 exclusive at first. I never played 1 or 2, but I didn't like 3 that much. As said, dinosaurs in space are a bit weird to deal with and the stupid camera killed the game. 90% of the time you don't see the dinosaur you're just shooting at!
Worked for Gunman chronicles! I'm another who hasn't played any of them somehow. Off topic, but does anyone remember an FPS that had you hunting dinos for sport? PC exclusive, I think. You chose a dino to hunt, then a little space ship sorta thing dropped you off on an island packed with said dino and you had to stalk them - you had binoculars and pheromones to assist you.
Here is how it went down for me, another lover of the Dino Crisis series. #1 and #2 were deliciously good. Beat both of them and had been eagerly awaiting a sequel, when ta-dah! #3 is released. I remember thumbing through magazines and to my utter horror I remember reading about Dinos in space.... Ok, I thought, maybe they made it work somehow? I mean, its Capcom! My primal instincts tell me to stay far away, so that is what I do. Years later, my girlfriend and I are relaxing when she asks if I want to play Dino Crisis... I was so dumbfounded, I didn't even know she liked video games at the time, but she owned 1 and 2! I was amazed! This sparked curiosity in my mind... Dino Crisis 3. I asked her if she had played it, but she didn't even know a 3rd one existed! That was it, I knew I had to obtain this game. Went down to a local game shop and scoured it for a copy of DC3, when I find it on the Xbox for around $10. I inform my lady friend about it and next thing you know we are gathered around the TV and I handed her the controller. 20 minutes in, and the Xbox is off. We decided to do something else. I played it later for another short period of time, and it has never gone back in a disc tray since. It sucks. Sucks hard. Worst $10 spent of my life...
That's just an opinion. Not a fact. And your loss sadly. Up till code veronica and even until before 4 Resident evil was becoming horribly stale gameplay wise, it was the same thing over and over with next to 0 improvements. It needed the change. And I welcomed it. I love the new games as much as the old games they are a great addition to the series. So that's my opinion kthx I think i'll go back to enjoying it all now thanks!@
He states that's his opinion in the post... Not that that matters, it should be know that when someone is stating their feelings towards a game it is always their opinion, who's else would it be? I agree with RE:CV being one of the last good RE games. All I know is that 4 was awful.
It amuses me that there are still people who are offended that Capcom updated that series. You'd all still be happily turning on the spot with fixed cameras I'm sure.
Hahaha, you are very correct. The fixed camera is what made those games for me, it is what defined them as Resident Evil. Being frightened as a kid as to what my lie around every corner was really immersible for me! But another fact that I didn't enjoy 4 was due to.... No more zombies!
Oh, come on. So they renamed the zombies "las plagas" or whatever. They still stumble toward you with their arms held out I appreciate you like the old games more, that's fair enough. You can't call 4 an "awful" game though, on its own merits it's solid.
