    I have 2 Asian HKT-3010's and they have different types of dummy blocks:

    I never really saw the point of that C8P polarized connector - the non-polarized version is more common so there is a good chance that at some point it will end up plugged in backwards using a C7 power cable.

    @SaturnHST

    I think the two versions of the dummy block just correspond to manufacture dates - the earlier units I saw had the bus terminators and the later ones had the plain plastic version. My guess is that at some point someone decided that there was little point in terminating a bus that had nothing connected to it and changing to a plain plastic lump was cheaper.

    I'm sort of curious about what you want it for? I could probably find you one in HK, since there were quite a few HKT-3010 consoles imported here, but it would likely cost a lot more to ship to Australia than it was worth.

    There is one on eBay for $20 right now, I gutted mine to use as housing for my VGA mod.

    I broke one of the ones I had up to get the G2 bus connector from it - I wonder if anyone will actually pay $20 for it, since that's a lot more than the modems go for...

    I am sure I can send you one.

    They are not worth $20 and they are certainly not very hard to get hold of.

    Errr, whoops didn't mean to mislead a thread!
    What I should have said was...

    Damn I'd kill for one of those earlier dummy blocks! Hahaha! :wink-new:

    Entirely my bad! Damn internet with no context! O context, where art thou! :smile-new:
    Side note, or more to the point my VA0 PAL Dreamcast has the non-metallic dummy block.

    Maybe if I used italics and bold on the kill part?
    Or does that emphasise that I want to actually kill someone.
    I'm still new at this. I always wear a helmet when on the internet.
