    Would it be possible in the future to have our existing scaliners "upgraded" if you find a better chip or design? I love the scanliner as it is a very basic design and simple solution but it would be nice to know that if anything better comes around we wouldn't have to purchase a completely new one.

    BTW: So far I am a happy customer!

    So, I've been thinking...I know its bad for my health. :wink-new:

    Anyway, I think a neat product would be one that takes HDMI in and HDMI out.
    Include the ScanLine Generator and it would be perfect.

    I'm not sure if it is possible though because there is encryption on HDMI I believe.

    But having one to rule them all would be the best. Just one link to the TV.

    aab - I recently purchased the 74LS versions of these chips, but I haven't tested them yet. If I can find a way to improve it, I will announce how to do that small mod or return back for an upgrade. It's a small glitch of the design I used.

    Banjo - Yes, they can be turned off totally in the Hanzo or the rest.

    Daytime Dreamer - Soon... I will take payments again, but for now I can put you in my preorder list...

    Yep also interested in a Hanzo although I'm away from early next month... you said it would be 2 weeks minimum so do you reckon it would be ready/shipped by the end of this month?

    no more Kuro & Scanliner orders will be taken...
    I will make the last few Kuros & Scanliners and ship in the next weeks. I will demand their payments for these last orders soon.
    I will concentrate on Hanzo and some other projects which I will soon...

    It works, that's always a good sign. I don't have any other VGA adapters to compare it to but it certainly looks better than composite. There's a blue power LED on the back, it has lit up a few times during power on but right now it's staying off during power on. I don't know what that indicates but I am happy that it's not always on. The switch needs to be facing the VGA connector for me to get any picture, my monitor just says out of range if the switch is in the other position but that's to be expected since my monitor doesn't support 15Khz. It looks professional and solidly built.
