I'll take a spot for a Hanzo preorder. Would love to get one of these as I'm upgrading all systems for HDTV and my XRGB mini has no VGA. Well need one of these for my VGA input on my TV to hook up Dreamcast.

Hi! I have the same problem! the led doesnt work for me (only the first time :nightmare , but vga works fine on my old monitor (My actual monitor only have hdmi), also doesn't support 15Khz, but i can play some games like Soul Calibur with a backup of DC-X or similar.

 

Hanzo for the win! What a BEAST! The ultimate in Dreamcast scanlining. :applause:

Yeah, it was already on the table, so I just left it there. It's a great show and it seemed fitting since I was testing Sonic "Adventure".

Beharius said in PM that maybe he was sent 3.3v LEDs instead of 5v, so the LED probably died. Personally I prefer no lights, I have enough devices lighting up my room.

 

2 possibilities, leds are of poor quality or they are 3.3v and must be wired with a resistor (like 150ohm) if so probably mixed the bags of 2 types(3.3+5v). It's weird because I tested them several times in different setups before sending.

I apologize for the inconvenience I may have caused... Later models will be equipped with a resistor for sure.
You can send it back for a repair, or diy... requires a led, resistor and hot glue to fix it properly.

Sometimes small details we missed cause serious problems...

As long as they do the scan lines it is all good in my book, I do have hot glue too! Wish my bag o' resistors wasn't so hard to decode though.
They are blue instead of that nice cream... which means the colours become very hard to distinguish between. Orange, brown or red anyone?

 

I agree. I much rather perfer an accesory of this nature without an LED indicator. Can future VGA devices from this gentleman perhaps be constructed without LED lights or have potential customers have the option to include it or not?

 

I don't care if there is an LED or not.

 

I would prefer the product without LED's as well or one that lights up for a second to show that its on or that function is on and then disperses.

 

I can get behind that.
