the only reason why i have no DS yet is because i wait for the redesign. They will certainly put those new Micro And SP screens in it, or maybe even better. And those redesigns all look incredibly bad, apart of the winner.
I haven't heard anything official, but to be honest, i'm waiting for the redesign too. No point in buying one now if they're going to be cooler in 6 months.
Well, maybe some shops already have them in? I'll take a look in the morning. It's now 3am on the 15th so if they don't have them in yet then they will be in 24 hours. Pictures anyone? Yakumo
Just bought mine, really don't care one way or the other. I'll end up owning every iteration of it for collecting purposes anyway, so I guess if there's a new one, I'll just keep it sealed and play the original.
lol, this is funny. Especially for people that got one when it first came out. There were nothing but shit games and now that it is picking up, nintendo releases a new version.. hahaha.. also nice way this didn't leak out until after the holiday season, when tons of them got sold from games like nintendogs and animal crossing or whatever. Nintendo knows how to fuck people over...
Yeah, but it wasn't that long between the release of the original GBA and the SP. Surely everyone knew/expected this was coming?
mate, that is the worst thing i ever heard. The DS have alot of original tittles, even more compared to those ps2 ports on psp, wich are remplishing more than 80% of its library. The DS is like a breath of fresh air in the video game world. And nintendo said they wanted to redesign the DS at tgs, not after christmas. Facts are Facts
Yeah -- sucks that everyone is forced to buy their revamped DS... you know, w/ those guns pointing to their heads and all.
Come on guys, we havent had a fanboyish discussion in a while. Dont make me get the mace out... :fresh: Whats so wrong with Nintendo making a revamped version of their system, anyway? A lot of different gaming companies have done it in the past. Is it just convenient to forget?
Anyone pondered that the new DS might have extra buttons? Maybe the newer games would use the extra buttons (like the N64's C buttons), but when played on the "first" DS they run under a diferent control. These are all speculations here...
