2 weeks later... You have to be retarded to not understand the reference to it being a juxtaposition between a piece of crap that needed more dev time and a polished gold ingot. Now, I don't frankly care how bad/good it is but I want to play it as I've been waiting a long time for this.
FANTASTIC! They should make a duke nukem forever xbox edition! With a controller like that he's holding in the trailer.
oh god, it's really hard not to grin from ear to ear during that trailer. I've gotten out of FPS games but damn I want to play this one. *LOL* "Damn, I'd still hit it!"
I just hope they dont censor those naked ladies in the original game like they do in the trailer, that would be a shame!
it's ironic though how kids are the ones who'll be most excited about the censored crap. I know when I was a kid Duke 3d sucked me in thanks to the whole adult thing it had going for it.
I would be fine with the censored content, I get the gist but I don't need to see. Ehh maybe its just my age and the fact that I have two very young kids, I don't need content like that uncensored in my house. I don't play games like that anyway till they are in bed, but still I'm not even sure I want it in my house. I'm not saying its wrong or I think its bad, just I don't prefer it, but hey to each their own. -Disjaukifa
No kids here, and personally 18+ games violence or sex is all the same for me.. I even consider violence worse then the "sex/naked only" part for kids to be honost. But I understand more then half the world is shocked by some tits or ass.
Half the world are only shocked in public. Once they get back to their room they beat off just like everyone else has/does/will do!
How much uncensored violence do you have in your house, gory movies or GTA games or whatever? Be honest. Maybe your DVD/game collection is entirely clean and wholesome, I don't mind either way. It's just a facet of American culture that I don't get: violence on TV everywhere, that's fine, but if someone accidentally shows a nipple it's suddenly fuuuuuck hide it quick think of the children.
I really hope this game doesn't follow the same path that Guns and Roses Chinese democracy did. I have followed both of these for years, reading and watching, and listening anything I could get my hands on. I probably had 6 different rough copies of Chinese Democracy with each version getting a little worse as new ideas and technologies were worked into the songs. I don't know how many engines Duke Nukem Forever has gone through, but I hope they won't put out a rushed effort on this game just to try and capture some of the development money they put into this one. I will end up buying it just because of the anticipation. I won't keep my hopes up, as long waits like this leave a lot of room for bad things to happen, and expectations that are unreasonable. Ironically the follow up to Dr. Dre's Chronic album is almost ready as well. It seems like it is 1997 all over again.
Yeah I agree. Even though as a kid my dad would play Duke 3D and the other spin off's with me! My dad loves Duke Nukem. However when sex scenes would appear in movies they'd cover my eyes. I sure as hell am probably not going to do that to my Kids someday.
Honestly my movie collection on the whole is clean and I really don't own many gory games, its not that a person appears naked in the game/movie, its the situation behind it. I do think Americans are too up-tight about many things, I like how laid back Europe actually was when I went there, my previous statement about not needing that content in my house just steamed from the stereo type that the game was giving off, its that aspect of life that my kids don't need to know about yet. I have nothing against nudity, its the context. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, and that just happens to be mine. If I had to label the goriest game I own, I would probably have to say its one of my Castlevania games. I don't own games such as GTA, thats not to say I haven't played and owed them in the past, and I nothing bad to say about those games, I just don't get enjoyment out of playing them, thats all. -Disjaukifa
