    Did I hear someone spell Blood 1? Oh if only there was more of that - The Chosen wasn't bad, but it didn't feel like Blood 1.

    Uh, I thought a shmup was a 2D shooter (not that I really care, can't stand that word anyway).
    And the late 90s were the golden age for formulaic, boring FPSs where you spent most of your time hunting for keycards.

    You're right, but then again, except for a few games (both Half-Life games, Doom I & II, Duke 3D) the FPS genre has always been boring to me. I'm just saying that late 90s FPSs were really no better than what we have today...although I'll also say that at least some games in the 90s had some humor and interesting settings instead of focusing on "grittiness" and "realism" :rolleyes:
