PSP-V works on 2 levels the first is its name obviously but the second and the one i find enjoyable is that V is the roman numeral for 5 we have had the 1000 the 2000 the 3000 and the PSPnoGO and now the PSP-V im excited about what Nintendo will show tomorrow my predictions are 4 core powerPC cpu and HD graphics of 720p compatible with everything from the GC to the wii oh and at least 2 HD titles announced
I don't think the PS Vita is a bad name at all :shrug: Tempting price, but I think the days of lugging around a separate portable console may be long over for me (as well as a lot of other people)...
The only thing i'm worried about is music. You can't replace Marty. His music for Halo is Iconic to me. Bungie already fucked Halo up enough with reach anyway, i'm curious to see how things go. And Halo 1 remake looks fantastic i'm glad they are separating MP from Singleplayer. I wouldn't touch Halo MP again with a 10 foot pole ever again. And now I don't have to pay for that crap.
Who cares what it cost to make, that won't dictate how much of a drop they will make. Also those production cost estimates are just that estimates. The 3DS is hurting because there hasn't been any software to justify the price. This holiday season they will have a better line up to push the system but this "3rd party first" current line-up was a total mistake and the constant delays of games/features they promised/acted like will be out with in mere days of launch isn't helping. If it gets a price cut, the best case senario is $200 or $230 with a pack in game.
I'm going to buy the PSVita!! it's amazing ! 299 euros with the wifi and the 3G! 3DS must to react otherwise they will be beat!
fujin, where are you from? I don't expect the unlimited 3G thing to be unlimited around here, seeing how the phone providers try to screw us over and over again with their unlimited but limited data plan...
So far i'm more into the PS-Vita than the 3DS although i still hate that name Vita and since i don't own a PS3 i didn't really bother about that stuff. I'm not that interested in the 360 stuff as i found them too kinect focused and boring to me even though i really quite like kinect. I can't wait for the Nintendo conference later on today and see what project cafe will be like plus i do want to see some decent software for the 3DS.
You pointed out exactly what i feel. My last portable console was the GameboyAdvance. Somehow i totally lost interest on portable gaming. Still, PSVita looks amazing. But when i start thinking about the cost, i end up giving up. There's still lots of PS3 games coming up, not to mention the ones already released that i still haven't got... so there's better ways to spend 249+ dollars.
My god, they had to remake starfox64? couldnt they make a new one? or remake the 2nd unreleased one from Snes? Kid icarus voice has to be the most annoying since tails in Sonic Adventure... I'm not saying it will go for $170, just that ninty can do it and they should do it, considering the amount of hype the PSV is garnering
Hang gliding and underwater racing in the new Mario Kart, but Peach will still frustrate the fuck out of you. Nothing really changes.... Enough of the 3DS, please. I have a funny feeling we're not going to be seeing much, if anything, of the new home console.
