Sony has won, no doubt. The interwebs cheered with the sound of selling used games, no DRM, no mandatory check-in online. Sony, bravo.

Honestly, anyone buying Xbox One is because of the exclusives or the live tv stuff. PS4 is powerful, has no DRM and it's cheaper.

I'm really torn now I was planing to get a Wii U for Christmas and wait for the PS4 but the PS4 looks awesome out the gate. At the PS4 Price point I can totally get one this year too.

Lets see what Nintendo has. Microsoft Failed Hard. Sony Vindicated me, Nintendo Needs to show Bayonetta 2, a NOT remake Zelda, Smash Brothers, and some new IPs.

That Titanfall looked awesome too. Ryse looked OK but yeah XBOX ONE just fell flat on it's face.

 

Well it cost $5 Online gaming on PS4 However I'm very grateful and appreciated that Sony kept PS3 online for free for nearly seven years now which I been using PSN since late 2006.

Are Microsoft the new Sega? It sure feels that way. Sega were a company who had that golden era, got lost in the hardware and had no idea what to do in the moment, so much so that Sony completely stole the market. Microsoft feel the exact same way, they got lost in the hardware with the Kinect and the Kinect 2, and now they have no idea what players actually want so much to the point that Sony might have just stole the market once again. If Microsoft can't ship units or the hardware consistently fails like last generation, the game is over.

 

Well even with the trade offs The PS4 has brought it. Final Fantasy XV which totally looks better than XIII. Kingdom Hearts III that just sold a few million PS4s. The Order looked amazing and the Dark Wizard had me cracking up and shocked it was in engine. I don't know how any one can be a Microsoft fan now DURRR HALO DURR DURR.

It's sad that Killer Instinct isn't on XBOX 360 though. BUT Rare isn't even doing KI. Double Helix is. Hasn't everyone that made a successful game at Rare LEFT rare anyway?

 

Seems to me that this topic has delved into a Sony vs Microsoft debate. A PS4=WIN vs Xbox One=FAIL scenario.

I won't be getting either one since I'm too broke and also like sticking to retro stuff. Gotta be at least 10 years since original release before I get one.

 

Man, I look forward to what nintendo has ready for tomorrow. They better do more then just drop the price to $300.

Same here. But you can't deny the cold hard facts. It's not fanboyism, it's the truth.

As for PlayStation Plus being required, i bet it's because gaikai servers. Don't like to pay for online, but the way the program evolved as a simple digital rental / lame free stuff to a full instant colletion service, it's a small price to pay really.

Really curious about Nintendo. Hope they can turn things for the better for the WiiU.

 

Sony won E3; that's not a war it's just the reality of the situation. How each console will play out, that's a different story.

 

To be fair Nintendo hasn't shown anything yet. I think alot of people will buy a Wii U after they buy a PS4. Cept me I'm really torn now REALLY torn.

 

I'll tell you what Nintendo will do, the same dull shit as always. Oh look a new Super Mario game, oh look a new Zelda game, oh wait, more Kirby. YAWN! IMO Nintendo lost their greatness after the SFC and never regained it. I'm not buying a WiiU after I got burnt so badly by the Wii. Thinking about PS4 but some of the Sony fan boy comments on here are like little kids "told you so, we beat the big boy" and the likes of. As for the XBOX One, well, no used games, conformation codes and games that seem to need online connections to even play have killed any chance it had with me. So yeah, PS4 is the only option left but I sure pray to God some one released a 360 style controller for it such as Hori. Never liked the PlayStation controller since day 1. Actually, I bet some of you guys were still sucking your mums tits when the original PlayStation came out Oh yeah, PS4 looks shit just like the new Xbox. Gone are the days of nice looking consoles.

 

Right now I'd rather buy a PC than an XBO. Can I use my PC as a TV tuner? Check! Multimedia center? Check! DRM? Check! Even the WiiU is more appealing to me at this point. Exclusive games only keep you happy for so long, at the end of the day it's the longevity of the console and the level of quality in the services it provides that's going to keep users dedicated to the system. XBO looks like an outdated PC with a whole bunch of restrictions, PS4 looks like a video game console.

 

How? the PS4 looks like a slanty XBOX One.

Most importantly I'm excited to be a gamer again. Sure The Saturn and Dreamcast collection will still be worked on but man oh man...........New shit WOOOOOOOO

EDIT - It's ok to talk and be happy about new games but any more direct fanboy-ism and you'll be seeing another ban. Fanboy-ism only causes arguments which waste my time because I and other mods have to tidy up after you and others.
