Mattcp tends not to place much information on AG any more.

Bwahahaha must be something like that!
He had some great stuff at some great prices but then stopped replying on AG where it would all definitely sell and started putting it all up on ebay. I did a rather large deal with him too that went smoothly so it was a bit suprising that he wouldnt want to continue.

Well, if PSX scart is not rare, pray point me to an official RGB cable. I have yet to find one.

I've possibly got one you can have - I think at last count I had 4 or 5 of them.

I always assumed that the dual shock 2 pad was an extra and didn't come with the machine as all the machines I've seen in Japan have had everything listed just no pad. Still you can play games with the remote if you wanted to. :icon_bigg

I believe that the pad was an optional extra - certainly my PSX, which was complete as far as I could tell, did not come with one. There's also no obvious place set aside for it in the system box, like is the case with PS2s. I got a pad (new & sealed) off Yahoo auctions. BTW, the pad (DESR-10) is USB & was intended for use in the single USB socket at the front of the PSX. The idea that the PSX was more likely to be a permanent fixture in peoples entertainment stacks, so people wouldn't want to be fishing around the back where the usual PS style controller sockets are located. The pad has a longer than usual cable, to allow use without moving your comfy chair closer.

Personally, I tend to use wireless controllers with their transmitters pretty much permanently plugged in the back of the PSX - the dog tends to trip over any controller wires I have draped across the living room!

Then I retract my note about the units being incomplete ;-)

Having only ever seen them resplendant with white controller I've always thought they came supplied with one. You live and learn.

Well we`ll get to see how much interest Katana units have with a starting price of $0.01. Nice added extra of a system disc 2, could be handy if you wanted to keep the unit in emu mode.
