Is there any proof that this was a goal on mentioned Comic Convention? There are lots of DC fans out there who would fight for that console I'm sure.

It looks very much like a sticker. If so, it's not worth the $1200.

    No, sir, you did not.

"Last note, some of the proceeds will go to Charity."
Yeah, the "buy me another bag o' crack" charity.

He's referring to the ad in Pikkon's post. He couldn't work at "XBOX" since XBOX isn't a company, it's a console. And the part about chartity could be true, but is highly unlikely since he didn't specify a charity or note that the charity is the buyer's choice.

    You can see it here:

    or here:

    Competition info:

I'm surprised the auction doesn't mention Brandon Badeaux.

As for "learn history": The one sold on ebay by an ex-Ubisoft guy in May 2006, which was exactly the same dev kit, also sealed, went for only 757€. That's US$1000! And for my dev card, I didn't even pay $100, though that was lots of luck since it was BIN and I was the first who saw the auction. But still, since 2005, the prices for M2 dev hardware are constantly dropping because more and more stuff turns up (read more M2 threads from 2005 and you'll see that it was believed that only 2 or 3 dev cards/kits still exist at all, hence the high prices back then).

The latest auction is an EXCEPTION, and no one knows yet if the buyer with zero feedback is serious at all.

Nice SG, but one picture in the forum would suffice - we can look at the auction if we want to see lots of high res pics ;-)

Do we REALLY have to have a discussion on this taking up several pages in the eBay thread? If you want to bitch more, go post in the gaming thread.

Oh by the way, the value of something is what someone is prepared to pay for it FULL STOP.

Yup, people can sometimes go crazy on eBay, but then again, they'll also pay crazy prices to dealers elsewhere, be it shops, websites, trade fairs or whatever. eBay can be seen as both good and bad for prices amonst collectors.

OK, I don't like cluttering this thread with idle chat, so here's an interesting auction:

Snow Bros was released in America on the Genesis, wasn't it?

Maybe I Just Don't Trust Ebay Sellers That Capitalise Every Single Word.
