As there are ways to flash a debug firmware to retails units, I always ask myself if the unit sold isn't just a retail with the debug firmware selling for a whole lot more then its worth?
The last I read about it the debug options actually don't work but they do show up on the bootscreen.. so for me personally I would not go for a unit that doesn't have the TEST logo on it.

The funny thing about this auction is the first pictures look like its different then a retail as the picture is made from a weird angle, allthough the pictures added later show a normal retail looking unit.

I expect some retail units to show up on ebay with the crappy non working debug firmware flashed on it selling for wayy too much soon enough sadly with some extra text we don't know what this is bullshit.. how can you own such a new debug/prototype/dev unit without knowing what it actually is?

I thought it odd at first when he didn`t show a picture of the front as he had mentioned TEST in the description.

But it does have the smoked black case which is normal for TEST`s and also no serial numbers or stickers.........very very early debug?

May go too expensive for a random purchase

Looks to me like a DEH-H1001

Transparent case and blank serial sticker on the back both suggest this.
And even without these verifications it would still be highly unlikely someone who does happen to have 1.02 debug update would use it on a 1.00 retail to try and fraud people.

    just my 2cents :p

Thats not true. 70% of the population isn't retarded. Its 98%, and while retarded may seem to fit, the correct term is intellectually absent, and possibly brain dead (that is if they had a brain at all )

    ^^^ hehe :p

Well i'm sure out of the 98% or so of retards the amount of those people with 1.02 update for a debugging station is minute.

And i do think the study i saw said it was the mid to low 70% range of adults that lack the ability to really problem solve. (basicly they lack common sense) Which is easy to see, those who deny this...well (cough) you're part of the statistic (cough)

    :D

Yep - I re-drew the TRON arcade panel from scratch, as a vector file. Then I changed it a lot to make it more my own, and to fit the HRAP EX joystick.

I'll post proper pics of all my joystick work in the mods section when I'm ready - for now I'm only selling the clear acrylic top panels linked above.
