VA, don't bother, others have spotted it lol - I can pick these things up in a breakers unit in Hamilton. Had it been £1 plus shipping I'd have been laughing. If I get up to £10/20 then it would most definately be cheaper along the road.

It looked like a straggling item.

Thanks for the offer though, I appreciate it. Mac stuff sometimes appears on Freeshare for free, that's where my iMac G3 came from, but it's a little useless in that I can't insert the audio cards I need to use. Well, back to the cheap straggling search.

    Mr. Jock McTight-Fist Tavish. ;-)

Compaq Presario R3000 - needs new PSU / Battery (UK)

I'm selling this on for my brother after repairing the power socket. It's actually a fairly robust, well built laptop. Not impressed with the power socket on the motherboard, I'd be tempted to replace it (£3 max) but I ditched the original PSU for a spare I had here (not supplied) and it worked fine.

So, if you are looking for a relatively cheap laptop around the 2.8Ghz mark (AMD Athlon) then this makes a good starting point:

<I am the seller on behalf of a relative>

As it's my brother's laptop and it's so cheap, I can't do any specific deals, but I can guarantee that it is as decribed. I would recommend if you are bidding to purchase the little socket that fits onto the motherboard. It took 20mins to disassemble the laptop, 2mins to resolder. I think the insert pin might had been pushed in slightly. As you can see, it still works perfectly well with a suitable PSU, but the battery really does look like it is brown bread!

He's looking to buy a desktop unit rather than use a laptop, so needs the funds. These things happen, I see bargains all the time and I look at the wallet, I look at the wife, I look at the bank balance and I think... :noooo:

seeing as its more for my new companies use i might be able to offset some or all of the cost out of the business funds, but by doing so slows my stock increase plan by a month instead... will have to wait i think...:-(

I often look at the wife and think :noooo:  dont tell her i said that!!

That black gamecube is mighty tempting to me  and some of your games

The all have 8 days left which is good because i can chack my financial situation with the next few days and if all is well i may go for either 1/2 games or the cube
