VA, look at post #36 - I spotted this a couple of days ago, but I also added a listing for a small portable generator lol Wrap it around VW camper van and you have a pocket 360 lol

40$ is a pretty good price for a repro of that game. The original prototype cart was sold in 2003 for more than 1000$ though.

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Sony-PS2-DTL-Development-Tool-Dev-Debugging-Katana_W0QQitemZ230110750176QQcategoryZ11328QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Sony DTL-T10000 PS2 TOOL. Started at £9.99 no reserve, no bin. They just this second bumped it up to £49.99 no reserve.

I called the company selling this unit up to establish just how "fully working" this item is. A: "It powered up" B: "we got it playing a game" - that's it. No description of the screens that appeared. These guys normally sell office furniture and it looks like they've done an office clearance and had this into the bargain (lucky sods!) so you can hardly expect them to appreciate the inner workings and multiple aspects of the functionality of this complex machine. Take the "fully working" tag with a pinch of salt. If it turns out it is then it's a bonus.

Anyone interested in BIN they are looking for £700.00 <cough!> as "that's the price the last one on eBay went for..." Lherre was the last person I remember had one on eBay and it got far less than that for a beautiful, fully functional (fully tested), boxed version with manuals, external HDD and boot discs. I'd have offered about £200 for it, but I decided not to bother.

Item is sold as is, no box, no manuals and no hidden extras they may have forgotten to mention. That should save anyone else having to 'phone them.

One thing I did laugh about. When I called the person who answered said "I'll put you through to the eBay section..." <muffled as hand goes over mouth piece> "...ere, you wanna take this call. It's someone else about that PS2 thingy" Secretarial skills aside, I guess the "eBay dept" is a desk right next to the main one lol.

I would, but I already have a faulty PS2 Tool lol - looking for a seller who can give me a bit more feedback as they are a pig to obtain spares for.

Based on what is wrong with yours you can get a new cpu board or even a back plane board look for them under embedded systems. If you need a link I can see if I can find where I bought mine at. The only problem is the cpu board will run you almost what a new tool will cost but it would be a faster CPU :). I had to do that to one of mine to get it working.

We sorted out the CPU board and it is really just needing a few hours of dedication to get it running again. Unclejun has made a mirror of his boot HDD so that I can test mine. I am only holiday at the moment and can't really afford to take the time out (doing the house when I get back and looking after 3 kids). So, I will eventually get it running (fingers crossed)

    Thanks for the info though!
