Long story short, I paid for them twice and never received them. As it was a cheap (!) dev board I paid $ in an envelope. First time she claimed she never received it. I thought, well shit I want them so bite the bullet and pay again. Second time I never heard from her until I complained. She then said it was stupid to send money in an envelope and she couldn't tell where it came from, how does she know it was from me etc. I clearly marked everything and sent a cover letter. I'll not be sending cash to the US ever again I tell thee! A stupid mistake on my part, but I really wanted those boards.

Anyway, I complained to eBay and it just got silly. She send a threatening email and eBay concluded that the seller was in the right for some bollocks reason. This was months ago (close to a year) and she has listed those damned things several times. They disappear for a month or so, then are placed back up again.

I still want a set, but I am not paying for them a 3rd time lol

    Parris,

Sorry for your bad experience with a US ebay user. I had a similar experience with a Canada user, but not all of us Americans are bad people :) Just like I know not all canadians are bad people :)

    Scammers exist everywhere.

    Jeff.

First time I read this, I thought you said "Just to let you know ALL Canadians are bad people" LOL

Thanks - It's just one of those things really, but I flinch every time I see those damned PSx boards appearing on eBay!

Most of my US experiences have been absolutely fine!

he is also talking out his bottom as it's already been discussed in the eBay / Marketplace thread. It is nothing more than a standard laptop HDD with a bogus sticker slapped on it...

Bid away in utter confidence if looking for an HDD for a very old laptop if requiring one.

Is funny how his development system stickers from gamecubes and xboxes use the exact same font. They are such bad fakes.

    People actually bought them :-(

This is their second outing. People got them from him, turned around immediately and stuck them back onto eBay. Unless of course the original seller has "found" another cache of valuable & rare development items lol

Mr. Etchasketch should be his bloody eBay sellers name. Totally rubbish!

Yeah, that certainly puts the 'retail test' copy to shame.

    Ok. That makes sence.
What do you think of his "dev kits"? Are they just stickered 'cubes?

actually, i cannot take credit for the knees, they belong to the only and only Mr Bill-e-Gates, as he was kind enough to hold the precious game for me when i took the picture, i also have a official letter of authenticity to go along with the aforementioned item which goes something like this

I, Mr Bill-e-Gates hereby certify that the halo game is 110% legit, its dead cosher and anyone that thinkz its fake i will send nasty virurses to their computer becos i control teh world!

as you can see by the impeccable grammar, there is really no way that it is a fake, do you think it would be worth listing on ebay, or shall i go for sotherbies in london instead?

LOL - go for broke Didds! What fetching knees oor Billio has!

As for the cubes, they are also about as authentic as a chocolate pizza

Under NO circumstances should you consider buying any of that junk! Seriously, keep your mullah in it's wallet and beware of items marked development on eBay (or elsewhere). If you are not 100% sure, then you are in the right place.

No expert, but a lot of people on AG have experience with diverse pieces of development hardware & software and will be more than willing in most instances to verify whether something is genuine or not.

    Welcome to the boards....

actually i am tempted by the green case, simply to use for a project, and if the crytal 'debug' doesnt go up in price i might nab that as well as another media centre server
