Assuming you're referring to the linux kit Matthijscoman mentioned - I think the new/unopened bit refers more to the linux specific bits (DVD, mouse, keyboard, vga cable etc), but yes - just looking at the box for the HDD shows it to be hardly mint condition. BTW, it's not that uncommon to come across used linux kits where only bit actually used, was the HDD - I've brought 2 kits in that state...

The thing that puzzles me, is the BIN price of $650 - where are folks getting the idea that linux kits are worth so much?

    (Not the seller, either!)

Playstation 2 Linux kits are pretty easy to put together if you trawl around and are prepared to buy from a variety of sources. I am still looking for the genuine Sony HDD however.

I think that Debug kit has been listed a few times now... with no bidders.

MS did indeed have black Xbox debug units produced for a while. Would like to see the full base of it to see whether the seals are intact, however that is never 100% guarantee as he may have carefully removed them. Anyhow, it looks ok, but why no screen shots etc?

Well he would have had to remove the debug label from a real debug and put it on a retail. What would be the point of that? Now his debug doesn't have the label.

I was actually meaning it might have been cobbled together from spare parts as the base may be genuine and the rest not. I.e. a retail board with some additional ram etc etc.

Auctions are ending in ~20 hours. and the seller ships worldwide.
Isn't it crazy that the broadband adapter's price is currently much higher than the devkit's one?

    (not the seller)
