Its not bad, but the outside is quite scratched, which is just the nature of the material - My new macbook I've only had for a month, and the outside is already pretty bad. Its a decent system, I just worked out a good deal on the macbook to replace it though.

Playstation PS2 Tool development system (UK) £250 BIN

Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines please. The Bury (Manchester) source for PS2 Tools has posted another PS2 Tool. It's BIN £250 bangers with P&P on top.

Another one let loose into the community to amble freely:

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Sony-PS2-DTL-Development-Tool-Dev-Debugging-Katana_W0QQitemZ230121534417QQihZ013QQcategoryZ11328QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I don't think the faulty unit has been picked up from Barc0de, so this is NOT his one back in the loop.

    Enjoy!

Only 1 feedback complaint about them as I can see, not BC, but someone in US complaining about time of delivery etc. If you need someone to vouch for condition then a see the items listed below.

P.S. I am NOT the seller!!!

Barc0de and I have been talking about his PS2 Tool and the manner it has been dealt with by the Bury eBay seller. Although we know of a number of satisifed customers, we are now aware of 2 PS2 Tool units which have apparently arrived in badly damaged state.

One of those was bought by ConsoleFun in the USA (a costly return for him, especially as they managed to include P&P costs into the overall value and thus cost extra at import duties). The second being of course Barc0des unit, which is being dealt with at present.

Considering the details of the PS2 Tool auctions are just rolled out each time, the image shown in the auction is NOT what you are getting. Plus the information never varies (as far as we have noticed). We think it best to warn site users that the seller may have a rather lax view of describing the item fully / correctly and as such be very wary!

They include their contact details and we suggest if proceeding to USE them and get verbal confirmation prior to bidding.

Maybe getting a third is not a good option.

Are these spares (I hope so) or are you having to trim your lovely Treasure collection (I hope not)?

Hehe, thanks, but they are spares/"doubles". I wanted to keep them as "trade stuff", but need the money for the moment to some more Treasure additions:). Will take new photos in a week and two, it has grown quite well since I took the old photos in the collection section.

I'd just 'phone the guy and ask how many he has left before your only option is the spares / repair item better known as "the one that Barc0de bought" is placed on eBay. He might do you a deal over the 'phone. ;-)

That said, Barc0de needs a replacement and as UJ's 2nd unit turned up from Japan in pieces it might be that he accepts another unit from the Bury guy instead. So, really there can't be that many left.

Do you get the impression they are a bit crap at their customer service end lol ? :eek:h:

I emailed after I heard about Barc0des bits being returned and asked tentatively whether they had any spares / repair items (looking for parts obviously). "No!" came back the reply. I thought "I'll just wait a couple of days shall I lol!" Allegedly Barc0de was told that the guy would "fix it himself....." (Our long, tiresome thread on fixing PS2 Tool units is open to everyone, so feel free to wire in and have a go!)

With any luck, he might catch the bug and become a member and start collecting! Stranger things happen at sea!

Parris - are you now the proud owner of a GBA dev kit by any chance? ;)

I've been hankering after one for a while. Last years I missed a fantastic full kit (the linker kit) for GBA and GBC for £50 ($100usd) and was kicking myself. I missed it by something like £5.00 or something. Anyway, nothing ventured nothing gained. He seems a genuinely nice seller and we came to a mutual arrangement off eBay. I wasn't going to let another pulled item stop me lol
