    Crossing fingers for ya :)

Yeah, true :) But it also sucks to sell something, regretting you even sold it, and then realizing people are asking crazy money for it, when you wanna rebuy (STARS Dreamcast) :(

To be fair, in a NintendoAge thread I think he said he was looking for 4 figured. I know Id want more information before buying it, knowing that there is a debug rom out there.

What's with the 2003 copyright date on the title screen? This game came out in the 90s so the rom shouldn't be from 2003.

It already has... I remember when a PSP Test Tool would fetch $1000 (and you never saw a Dev Tool forsale at all, but at least $1500 for one on that rare occasion), and they hardly ever came up forsale. First Dev Tool I bought I paid $800 for, and it didn't even include a controller or power supply... And I considered myself _very_ lucky to get it at that price.

Now you can get Test Tools for less than $200 and Dev Tools for less than $400 on eBay almost weekly... :) Cheaper if you are are patient...

These debug ROMs aren't from the N64 era, they are the original builds which were featured on the GameCube Promotional Disc and Bonus Disc versions of Ocarina of Time, Master Quest and Majoras Mask. The only reason they leaked is because I believe it was a 3rd party responsible for the controller icon updates and software emulation, not Nintendo them selves.

I think it's a bit far fetched that they used an actual N64 for debugging a N64 rom for use on a NGC + N64 emulator, it would make more sense that they debugged it on the NGC. So unless proof surfaces that this item came from the devs, I suspect it to be a home made effort using the leaked rom.

That is exactly what I was thinking! Why go back to the original hardware?

It's someone having too much fun with his gangwriter, hell even the colours for the A and B button on the top screen match the gamecube ones (as do the gamecube roms).
There is no way the guys working on the gamecube version ran this on a N64...

    http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.php?23285-Origins-of-Zelda-Master-Quest-Debug-Rom

There is an old thread regarding the history of these builds, read over it and judge for your self. If the emulator team worked solely on NGC emulation then surely the game must have existed on N64 hardware (?). I would have imagined all three debug builds were provided to whoever was responsible for the emulator (OoT, MQ and MM), whether they existed on cartridge or not who knows.
