    Ahh, an NR Writer! These are for burning GameCube NR discs, although I do believe they require more to get working. Quite a rare piece of kit, first time I've actually seen one my self.

    No idea how many copies are out there. Probably the only one you'll ever encounter in USA.

    I am now the proud new owner of a sweet-looking Green Shell ICEDCUBE ^_^

    My original bid was $105 but when it got to $102.50 withing 10 or so seconds i quickly pressed the 1 button numerous times!!! I'm guessing i over-payed a bit at $111? The red one went for $102 the other day.

    Btw, does anyone know HOW these ICEDCUBES where issued? Did it ever come with a proper box and instructions?

    I didn't. I noticed you mentioned that (i think it was you) the other day in a post. Then when i looked at the green cased one (my preferred colour of the two) i saw he said US shipping only. I have a verified US PayPal address of a good friend in Texas linked to my PayPal account as a secondary address. Not actually sure how i managed to do that (YEARS AGO) as i tried adding my Mrs's dad's address in Canada couple months back and PayPal wouldn't let me do it. In any case he will have to re-send it to Oz that i will have to pay for ON TOP of the $111 price tag. And, based on the Heineken GameCube he sent along with Avalanche 1080 game last month with shipping cost around US $87 - i think i just spent stupid money on it! o_O

    Aha! Thought of doing the same thing myself with one of the auctions, but thought better of it since I've bought modchips out the wazoo this month! I'm super glad that one of these pieces went to an ASSEMbler member! Congrats on the new kit and long live the cube!

    In this way I can sell the unit for lower price with eBay, because some people as already happen want to buy these on ebay with direct payment via paypal, but from the standard price (€ 785) I will need to add 9% of eBay fee and 3.4% or more for PayPal fees + shipping.
    Ebay keep 9% only from the bidding price, not from shipping cost... so, the buyer are happy if can pay less saving eBay fees.

    I am not sure about UK, US or other Worldwide eBay fees, but here eBay asking 9% ... LOL
