    I think people just use eBay to show off their collections, nothing more. I mean, if I wanted to share with the world my entire game collection (assuming it was kind of impressive anyway), I'd just list it on eBay for $500,000. Within 24 hours it'd be on every blog/forum in game-verse (as seen here frequently), and I'd get to brag to everyone that the 'awesome collection on eBay is mine'. I, of course, have no intention of selling (unless someone really wants to give me $1/2 million), and I basically get free world-wide bragging rights...

    I _know_ this happens in some collecting communities, so I'd be willing to bet many of these 5+ figure game auctions are just people showing off... 'Let's see how many blogs I can get on with THIS listing!'

    RE: "5-Player" adapter -

    I assume they just hadn't redesigned the case on an existing product to properly label the ports 1-4. Right? (Since on a SNES, player 1 would be plugged into controller 1 on the console)


    Really cool prototype, I could easily see it getting overlooked and getting snapped up for cheap.
