I am selling a Snowboard Challenge NES PAL-B, since it is a little difficult to fix a price I have set a high BIN, but I accept offers, the link is http://www.ebay.es/itm/330964564755?ssPageName=STRK:MES...

For those few who do not know, it is one of the 10 rarest NES PAL-B games and was sold only in Spain.

Actually, a BIN price that everyone laughs at and is never purchased is not really making you much money either... That's what I'm talking about. If the BIN is actually a _fair_ price for the item, then I'm sure it will sell, but honestly, when was the last time you saw that? I see people listing PS3 Tests with BINs of $1999 (or more), or similar reserves... Stuff like that is just ridiculous, and eBay is plagued with it.

Unless you have something that just no one cares about at all, it will likely get a fair price... But if you _really_ want/need to sell it, then SELL IT.

It's the attempts at get-rich-quick-off-my-crap schemes that have just gotten old. Like I mentioned above, people that list thing saying 'I was just going to throw this away, but I thought I'd see if anyone on eBay wanted it', and then it has a $5000 BIN/reserve. If you were just going to throw it away, what's the concern with it selling for 99 cents, hmm? If you are going to put a pre-determined price on it, then at least show you have the intelligence of _researching_ what it's worth and price it accordingly...

But I've seen, many times, auctions with BINs that allow bidding that once the bidding starts, it ends up selling for higher than what the BIN was...

I just had an idea for a thread. Can we have a thread where we can list items we had bid on and then lost at the last second to another bidder in hopes of actually finding that person. eBay blocks the usernames of the bidders but I thought it would be fun to find out who ends up with some of this stuff.

I agree. I lost my first attempt at a Sega Demo System DS-16 too some guy who won it with the exact same bid as me. $300...

Many know of this already but don't know I was the one who pushed it to $300. I'd like to know who won it. Thank them for making me wait for the better deal I got.

If you successfully placed a bid on the item, do a history search on all things you have bid on (even didn't win) while you are signed in. It will show you the name of the winning bidder (unless the auction was set to 'Private').

But what if I was the high bidder and won and then wanted to know who else was bidding along side me, it doesn't seem to show.

It will show the _winner_ of the item... If that's you, then you don't need to contact the winner in hopes of buying the item (which is the impression I got of what you wanted to do from your original post).

You wanted to find out who the winner was, the method I described will tell you that. If you want to know the IDs of all the other bidders, you will have to ask the seller to tell you (which may or may not happen...)

Ebay specifically doesn't want that information publicized to avoid scams and out-of-eBay sales...

Yeah I was trying to find out the other bidders even if I won the auction. I ask because there have been a few Nintendo auctions I have bid recently and I placed huge bids at the last minute to make sure I won the auction never thinking it should get that high and they both got near my max bid. Was just curious if the same person was bidding with me thats all.

    Hi:
There is a post on http://www.gamesniped.com/ for the NES Snowboard Challenge auction, remember that you can make offers below the BIN price.

Well sure, you're not going to make anything if you set a crazy BIN price. But I've found, depending on the item, you might get $50 more than if you had used an auction.

Demo System DS16. Seller claims it doesn't give video or sound but I don't know. I'd get it but I already have one. :victorious:

I am curious about the Hitachi GDR-8163B drive. I also spotted this on ebay. I don't want to by the drive I already have one myself.
I knew that the drive is capable of dumping Gamecube and Wii games because that is what I used mine for.
But is the drive actually capable of dumping NR and RVT discs like the seller is claiming?
I thought the drive was only capable of dumping retail discs but to be honest i hadn't done much research on this, just though someone on here will probably know.

I have a feeling it doesn't dump NR Discs. I have an LG GDR Drive and NR and RVT discs do not work. Only pressed discs.

That is what I suspect. I have the drive but I don't have any NR or RVT discs to test it myself.
I doubt that it can read the discs though because the seller only claims to have tested it with a retail Wii game.
