It's only adding a resistor to some test points for the top screen back light. No current being draw = no Booting IIRC.

Thought so, I've seen AlecJahn repair a billion of them, nice to know a snapped DS top screen doesnt render it parts only. Maybe worth picking up the cheap ones I see.

In regards to that GTA DLC price, people are so stupid these days. I'm not sure what's worse. The price or the fact someone is "watching" it.

Someone is probably watching it to see if it sells. I do that sometimes myself.

How about some likely stolen property? This crap's been clogging my "DTL-H" searches for months. I went to report it, but eBay's reporting system said that only law enforcement can contact them about stolen property. =/

By the way, do the hard drives designed for SCPH-10000s--the original PCMCIA consumer model--work with DTL-T10000s (TOOLs) and DTL-H10000s (TESTs)?

The HDD for the 10000,15000, and 18000 are the same as the HDD for the T10000 as well as the HDD for the DTL-H10000. They are interchangeable

Stolen property? Liquidators will physically cut cords/chains kensington locks etc if they cannot untangle them or it is difficult to get to where the cables go.

It doesn't matter anyway because this thread is worthless for the rest of 2014. I believe I've found the worst listing for this year -

Comparable to the one I found of a Xbox controller claiming the photo is a stock one. Photo was of a chihuahua...

Didn't know that, but certainly here, it is common for smash-and-grab jobs to drive vehicles into small office buildings, use large cutters like hedge shears to cut cords quickly, and run off with as much electronic equipment as you can grab before the cops show up.

Not saying that theft like this is extremely common, just that this is a common method.

I believe that price is so high just because it is the last one. I think sellers do that to make sure it doesn't sell so they don't have to pay fees or something.

It's more about search engine optimisation and buyers are more likely to buy a product if they can clearly see that the seller has sold many of them. If they let the item sell out then they loose that history and search result.

How did this seller screw up? I'm sure you can spot this.
