I was glad on his goof up. Finally after losing a number of auctions on the DDH I have one.:) Although now I have two gangwriters. I won an auction a week before this with a gangwriter so I could finally have one. Once I get this one in if anyone wants one let me know. Can anyone answer a couple of questions I have..

In order to write to the gang writer do I need any special card?

Can I connect to the DDH with USB or do I need a card for it?

From what I understand you need the NPDP-WIF (Writer InterFace PCI card) as can be seen on oldengineers site: http://oldengineer.com/gallery/v/nintendo/ngcd/8ngcd.html

For this one you need a Marlin PCI interface card can also be seen on oldengineers site: http://oldengineer.com/gallery/v/nintendo/ngcd/7ngcd.html

the USB thing is only for sending/reciving debug data and can be used to create a fileserver to access files from your computer on the devkit from what I understand.

That is what I was afraid of. Now on to the search for the cards...

Isn't iQue just the brand name Nintendo uses for it's products in China?

Still might make an interesting piece outside China, but it's probably common within the country.

Good luck! I found it much easier and essentially cheaper to just buy a second complete DDH to get that card then to get the card by itself.

I got mine from the same e-bay seller. It actually came in the original shipping box, which was a nice bonus. :icon_bigg Plus, it was shipped quickly and obviously well packed. I recommend him.

Basically, factoring in what I paid for my first DDH, what others had paid for one shortly after that, what my best cash offer on an available Marlin would have to be, and what my Beta GCP-2000 cost, it ended up "saving" me money to get a second DDH with everything included.
I will tell you from my own experience that XP doesn't seem to like the DDH very much, I still need to get a Win 2000 computer so that I can fully use them. Additionally, the DDK software only allows for communication with the DDH, allowing you to test games and the system, but doesn't contain the SDK. I have a feeling that this wont be much of a problem for you.
