Looking at his other pictures with the exception of "V&R" this looks like the details of the guy that bought shed loads of stuff from a "car boot/flea market" recently...remember for about $40 or something

I wouldn't buy it, as it's highly overpriced. No software (installed on HD isn't worth anything), no documentation, it's used and sold with no warranty, and you'll pay over 200 US$ for shipping just because it comes with a Mac, which you could probably get for a few bucks if you buy it where you live.

A few months ago, a brand-new complete and boxed dev kit containing everything (rev. h card, drive box, docs, software, cables) was auctioned on ebay by an ex-Ubisoft employee. It sold for about 750 Euro, a more reasonable price.

Is that you? Am winning on pretty much everything currently, but I'm in New York for 2 weeks. My net access here may be intermittent at best, so if I do win and don't talk to you for a few days, please accept my apologies and rest assured I will be in contact!

Just so you know, there's a few errors in your listings:

    This:
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Cross-Product...16QQihZ004QQcategoryZ3653QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

    goes with this:
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SNASM-CART-EM...13QQihZ004QQcategoryZ3594QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

so selling them separately makes no sense at all. It's a 68K emulator so also nothing really to do with cartdev - you pull the 68K out of the MD and put that in the socket.

    This:
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SNASM-658-ADA...09QQihZ004QQcategoryZ3594QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

is indeed for SNES dev, but it doesn't plug into the box for the 68K emulator, it's something totally different. Both of the boxes run off standard SCSI, so neither of the interface cards match the kits either. I think the SNASM2 was for 32X dev but I'm not sure, it's either that or part of the Mirage kit.

Just so nobody thinks they can do cartdev after buying everything...

Maybe someone has one but not the other. I could have sold everythign together in kits but thought some people wouldn't want to bid for a load of stuff when they are only missing one or two bits.

Given the SNES doesn't have a 68k I think I already knew that ;) That's why I clearly stated in the listing it's for SNES dev rather then MEGA DRIVE.

It plugs into the SNES' cart slot & the 658 box & PC interface card are all connected... as it is described in the documentation (see other listing). I do have the 658 box too, it's just to hand - I've got rooms full of stuff here & a loft & a room full at another house nearby. I'll look later if I feel up to it & list it as a 1 day listing or offer it here if I don't feel up to it - I'm still not well enough to do much walking about.
Where do you get that from? Are you trying to shit on my listings or something? Maybe it does wirk with 32X dev, but I've never had any. I know 100% that it's at least for SNES dev - look at the listing for the 658 docs - SNASM 2. There's a schematic & installation instructions in the SNASM 2 docs I have listed. I've also got the documentation for the Mega Drive set up in a plastic ring binder, I'll look for that, too.
Everything else I have is getting listed soon, so what's missing? I'm sure I have everything. I've got shit loads more sega & nintendo dev stuff to list over the next few weeks.

So what more do you need exactly than the 68k box, the two items you mention 1st & 1 of the PC interface cards? Maybe a scsi lead?

That's fair enough, it's your call after all.

Yeah, so why name the 68K emulator pod 'SNASM CART EMU interface for SNES/MD dev'? I certainly know what you mean, you know what you mean but it's not at all obvious on first inspection that it's Genny only, and it's not a cart emulator, so describing it as such seems a bit odd, is all I was saying. I'm not trying to pick holes, it's just that I had to go hunting around a fair bit to figure out what you were selling so I thought I'd try and clear things up a little for bidders from here so they wouldn't have to do the same thing. If my tone was slightly snarky I can only apologise, I posted when I'd only just got up ;-)

OK, I was just confused by the listing because I thought you'd put everything up together that went together. My bad :)

OK, well, I mentioned it when I was talking to an ex-Genny developer and he had a look through what you had up. He also thought you'd said the 68k emu was a cart emulator (which it's obviously not, but we both found the listings ambiguous) and the implication was that it plugged into one of the SNASM cards you've got listed, neither of which he'd ever used when he was using a SNASM kit. All I was trying to do was clear up my own confusion in such a way as to make it easier for other people to do the same thing - if that's not how it came across then I'm sorry. I'm certainly not trying to shit on your listings because I'm after some of this stuff myself ;-)

And with that I think I've gone entirely OT. Sorry :-D
