Nope. A full blown e3 trailer was made for it, but was pulled at the last minute, and you'll have a hard time comming across a copy even amoung devs of the game sense its reportedly several gigs in size.

Rayman 2 was in development for Saturn? I know there's a Dreamcast version, but a Saturn one sounds rather odd...

I've put a red * next to the games that I thank God for not releasing on the Saturn :D

    • Hmm, looks like most of those games actually did us a favour not coming out :p

It has not been leaked on the net yet. It was available for purchase some time ago on a particular website (which I no longer have the url for), for about $1500, but unfortunaly whoever it was who bought it has not come forth and offered to sell or leak it.

Just off the top of my head:
Policenauts (SS & PS) - In english? What ever happened to this? The PS version was shown at E3 years ago.
    Aeon Flux (PS)
Rock n' Roll Racing 2 (PS)
    Dragon Quest Gaiden (64DD -> N64)
    Cabbage (64DD + GB -> N64 + GBC)
Giftpia (GC) - Was this released in English anywhere?

Does anyone even have screens of Dragon Quest Gaiden or Cabbage?

    Last but not least:
Take my legs if need be -- I want Mother3 for 64DD or N64.

I had posted a little while back in the buy/trade thread that I received a Saturn beta called Dreamknight, and that I didn't know what game it was. The disc was NTSC-U/C coded and had a Jaleco post-it note on the case with the name of a certain reviewer and the game name.

Well Funk Buddy and myself did some reasearch (a couple hours worth, and really, most of the credit goes to him), and this game is a Jaleco title called FantaStep that was released in Japan. Due to the very heavy reliance on Japanese text, it was very surprising to see that this was being considered at all for a North American release.

I really wish I knew Japanese because the game looks wonderful, and very interesting.

can you post a few screen shots of the game The Dreaming Eye? I'd be interested in seeing what it looks like. I may even ownthe Japanese original. I've got about another 100 odd games for the Saturn that aren't listed on my site.

I put some crappy shots up here of the intro and the first room you start the game in. I may add more later.

That actualy looks quite neat, more so then alot of Saturn games i've played at least. Is any of it that you've played translated? Or is it basicly the Jap version with a different title and region code as far as you can tell?

btw Yakumo, speaking of your site, under the Saturn game 'Mr. Bones' you wrote:
"Mr. Bones is yet another one of Sega US's games and like practically all the others this is dull. Sega US seem to have a different idea of what is fun compared to the rest of the world. take Mr. Bones along the pre-rendered back drops jumping and attacking the obstacles. That's about it really. Dull."

Based on what you wrote their it seems like you only played the first level or two. Trust me, the game is one of the most diverse games on the system if you give it a chance and play more then the begining levels.

Unfotunately, none of it is translated. It's just the JP version with a different region code.

I did play it years ago when I lived in the UK and thought it was cack. So when I bought it this year I gave it another shot and still thought it was cack. I should change my discription though.

@Dreaming Eye - Thnaks for the screen shots. I've never seen that game before. I wonder how rare it is in Japan or was it one of those really poor games taht nobody really cares about such as Horror Trap (if that's what it was called) by an unknown company.

I think the 32x is requires a special attention cause there are more unreleased games than released one LOL.
Some games i can confirm existance:

    -Atlantis (like myst, very early)
    -ThunderStrike (very early)
-Rayman (quite advanced, bg was missing)
    -Virtua hamster (nearly finished)
-SonicXtrem (early, canned for saturn version)
    -Lemon's game (very advanced engine)
    -Xmen mojo world (quite advanced)
-Golf something from core design (nearly finished)
    -Casper (quite advanced)
    -Shelshock (very early)

    There are many more...
    =P

Out of all of them quite a few ended up coming out on the Saturn such as Shelshock, the Core Golf game which I have and Atlantis. I think Sunsoft published the last one.
