You using XBHDM to build the new HDD?

look in my sig & if you are using XBHDM, use my build of my softmod there is one for XBHDM.

    Should solve all your issues.

They sure do! If only i'm good at soldering, then perhaps i'll definitely do that instead or unless there's a solderless where you just simply plug it in and bam it's all set lol

What exactly is it you are doing, step by step.

Why are you using xBrowser, isn't that an android app?
(Ok it's the browser in XBHDM)

You download my XBHDM build extract the folder, inside the Linux folder there is a C & E folder. This overwrite the ones that come with XBHDM, you then build a USB or ISO version.

Now run XBHDM & prepare a new HDD & then lock it to your Xbox EEPROM.

If you're using the new version for Windows, make sure your USB adaptor is compatible with it.
(My adaptor could read files but not write them)

What I told you to use work, fine. After the process is done & the drive is back in the Xbox, you will be asked to finish the install on the Xbox side.
(Done it this way to keep the size down)

Content of C on the Xbox HDD should be.
    Media
    Xodash
    NKPatcher
    Xboxdash.xbe

    Content of E
    Prep

    Yeah
I got it EXACTLY like that, dead serious lol! but what i did was used the XboxHDM 2.2 USB edition and i wasn't sure where to put the linux folder because the XBHDM USB didn't had a linux folder beforehand.

So what i really did was to copy the C & E folders from your build download file over to hdm folder where xbrowser takes you, now the issue i have with xboxhd part in QEMU side when activating the Hard Drive of your Xbox is that everytime you try to rebuild the C partition of your HDD and once it finishes it always asks you to copy ndure files instead of copying them elsewhere, i'd never understood why.

    Try this version.
    https://sourceforge.net/projects/xboxhdm2/files/xboxhdm23usb/Beta/xboxhdm23usb-Beta2.zip/download

This version works inside Windows, so you don't need to boot to DOS.

Also doesn't include the NDURE script.

Stick the C & E folder in the hdm folder & put your EEPROM.bin in the main folder (where xboxhd.bat is) now run xboxhd.bat.

The above version requires you connect your drive via a USB adaptor.

If you cannot use that version, I can upload a specific version without the NDURE stuff.

    Update:
I just built a new HDD with XboxHDM23usbBeta2 & it works fine on the Xbox.

Note: I also got error 21 after a new build, so I zeroed the first few sectors on the HDD & redid the building process & it worked fine.

You can remove it by editing the bat file with notepad, and just add :: before goto getadminwrites and save it. But you will need to run it with admin writes regardless.

Correct I use a Sata to USB adaptor, basically the component out of a external HDD enclosure.
(note not all adaptors are compatible)

Also if the formatting or partition table creation fails, try zeroing the HDD with Partition Wizard 9 (I let it get to 1% & it works every time)

What version of Windows are you using? I'm running Windows 10 64bit & it works fine.
(It also worked fine on 8.1 64bit)

That's your issue, Pe (preinstallation environment) edition of windows aren't meant to be used as a standalone version. I don't think it has the right drivers & stuff to run the tool.

Even download a copy of a full OS & run it in a virtual machine?

Would a Live CD version of Windows Vista will work instead since that it's pretty close to the full OS correct? My C partition HDD is sorta fucked (excuse my language) untill i get a 500 GB IDE Hard Drive for my computer.

In all honesty I haven't a clue, do you even get live version of full Windows? as Windows ties it's self to your specific hardware, it's not like Linux.

I would say if you're in the UK, just send me the hdd & the eeprom & I will do it for you & send it back.
