Estpolis Denki II NTSC-JAP Prototype

You know, in many ways I like the prototypes tile sets better.

 

I think i use other zsnes version it's because mini boss crash with my .srm file.

Now here is the boss but damage 0 my level isn't good i think. level 3

 

I almost recommended buying Boomerangs from Tia's store... except then I remembered from Jackhead's video that Tia doesn't sell boomerangs in the proto...
The magic shop sells the Drowsy spell instead of the Poison spell. Though I don't know if that spell will work against the lizardman since he's a boss.

Now i don't have escape item with me and i want to go to the start of the cave.
How can i do? the bridge is broken.

 

You have the key now. Can't you go further to that place above where the locked door is?

 

I can't because bridge is broken and i don't have escape item.

 

Weird that doesn't happen in final game.

Try save at the save point before boss and restart the game (hopefully you're lucky and the bridge is fixed).

...unless you already tried that.

Edit: maybe try the reset spell/skill (is that in the proto?)

Edit 2: yeah, in the final version it stays fixed. Maybe it's an exclusive proto bug. Maybe ask how Jackhead did it (since he came way further than there)

 

How about defeating the spider? Since most of the time that's the trigger for something to happen if there's nothing else you can do in the room.
If all else fails, load an older savefile, go back to Elcid and buy an escape from Tia's shop. It's called テザール.

It's obvious to see the game was way harder before release.

Also, did you ever played the final version trevor? Or are you totally new to Lufia 2?

 

I played in 1997 at Lufia 2 in my NTSC US SNES. long time ago... lol
It's a very hard prototype!!! I am so surprised. Even when i fight on the map some enemies it's like fight a boss in lufia 2 final retail.

Maybe they wanted make the game even longer so you have to grind enemies for a long time until you've reached some level like for the lizard, where you have to be level 4 until you do damage to him.

I did recently another run of Lufia 2 (I think month ago) and I always had enough money to buy all spells,shields, etc (not on retry mode).

 

This is looking good! But still no sound? Jack Head encountered an indefinite crash on his SNES when he first played it, have you got passed that point?

 

I think that was after the Catfish which is where Trevor isn't yet (he's in same cave now though). I am not sure either how far after Catfish the crash happened and I am also now pretty interested if it will crash for trevor too.

Not only that, but I am also very interested to know if the Debug mode is working since it will save A LOT of work.
