Hey Everybody! I just wanted to post some details here before I started the new thread for discussion, etc. Long story, short, I've been an Assembler member for a long time and I've been a "lurker" for an even longer time. This is the SINGLE GREATEST GAMING SITE/FORUM EVER PERIOD You guys have kept classic gaming ALIVE and WELL around the WORLD! A big special thanks to ASSEMBLER himself for creating it in the first place! The following is the least I can do in return... ZOOM Platform is making a very large announcement tomorrow at 8 AM EST via press release...here is the reader's digest version...ZOOM Platform is the new home for all games 3DO (Console and later third party content). The first of many games to be released DRM-Free for modern computers is KILLING TIME...the game is LIVE NOW (although most of the world doesn't know it yet, only Assembler members do !!!! PLUS, as an additional THANK YOU to all ASSEMBLER MEMBERS - we have the following promotion - 10% OFF YOUR ENTIRE ORDER! - Just use the promo code: ASSEMBLER-ZOOM *The promotion will last until Midnight Sunday (July 26th 2015)
I didn't want to be cynical, but that's the way it sounded from the beginning. Don't get me wrong, it's pretty cool that we'll have easier access to the 3DO library. It just seemed like it was communicated in a somewhat overly grandiose manner as if the news was monumental.
I have been doing some work with Jordan (Jord9622) over the last year or so. While his post in this thread with a "great announcement" when compared to rare units and then saying "better" was probably ill judged, its because hes truly passionate about what hes doing. I have given him some advice on what assembler users are like (we know our stuff, it takes a lot to impress), but I wouldnt be too hard on him for misjudging what assembler users would find exciting - we are hard to please
Fair enough. I can't disparage his passion, which is very apparent. Thanks for the clarification. I've personally never played Killing Time, so I might have to give that a shot.
You guys share, so I share too. This was only a 5 thousand yen, 40 bucks. But considering they did not guarantee it would work, this could have been a very risky move after all. Good thing I tried my luck! I felt like if I had won a small prize in the lottery.
Given how well thought out and explained this argument is, you're right! Glad I ran this by you! You definitely did. Quite the snag. Lucky you!
