http://www.volumerates.com/product/...combat-4-mortal-combat-5-super-contra-2-96338 Did anybody else see these? It's a bit odd, even for dealextreme. I was just curious as to whether or not anybody had tried this particular flavor of clone.
They look like the good old-school type of famiclone carts - if they really do have all the Adventure Island games in one, or actual honest numbers (25 in 1, 39 in 1). Plus, I mean, for two dollars? I'd get them just out of curiosity. I'd never seen clone carts with the extra bit of plastic pictured here. They look interesting, for certain.
That megadrive 2 famiclone has kind of nice looks, by famiclone standards. Even pirated the Adventure Island games are decent enough titles for two dollars. Unless they're buggy hacked versions.
These multi-carts are nothing special. Literally a dime-a-dozen in China. Here are some carts I sold in bulk to someone a while ago: NOTE: I didn't take pictures with the cartridge protectors on since they just take up space.
That's why I've been avoiding FC pirates. So many and diverse I wouldn't know where to begin on what's worth owning.
Ah, well Original pirates are generally worth more than generic for sure. But it all depends on the quality, quantity, and what's on the actual cart. For example: This is a multi-cart I own that has Street Fighter 12 Player (Chinese Original), 3 Eyes, Bubble Bobble 2, and Snow Bros. The street value is the same as any other cart from China, but to a collector or someone in North America, the value is artificially higher. Same goes with carts that have other sought after titles (Like River City Ransom for example).
Bubble Bobble 2 AND Snow Bros? o_o Those are over $50 each for NES... If only there was Power Blade 2 also on there haha.
Can I ask a really stupid question please because I'm completely new the the whole 'famiclone' thing. If I buy one of these: http://www.volumerates.com/product/...m-video-game-console-with-2-controllers-96331 can I just plug and play this: http://www.volumerates.com/product/115-in-1-8-bit-home-game-cartridge-96348 and any and all of the rest of the multi-carts? As I said, I'm sorry if it's a bit of a dumb question.
I might just buy a handful anyway, really could use more (and better) famicom games. Are these multi-carts acceptable quality? Will they work on Twin Famicom? My 3 carts on hand ATM are rather lackluster titles... Baseball, Mahjong, Urusei Yatsura.
Oh well, just bought a machine and 5 multi-carts. Just how many versions of Mario Bros. can they fit on a 115 in 1 cart...
These carts are going to be of relatively poor quality. Also, they may not work on anything buy Famiclones since that's what they were designed for. EDIT: Shameless plug (^_^); http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.php?p=505272#post505272
Another silly question, but will proper carts work on these 'Famiclone' consoles, either Euro or USA NES carts or real Japanese famicom carts?
Yeah I guess there could be a problem. This pirate stuff is dodgy. I have one of those NES to Famicom (72 to 60 pin) adapters with problems in Castlevania 3. Maybe a modder should look into why, it is a known issue for some converters but IIRC nobody's quite identified it.
The most expensive I've seen is Somari for $200, a few pirate carts are worth a lot of money, for some odd reason.
Ya, if you paid 200 for Somari you got ripped big time. Even if it wasn't a multi-cart it's still not worth anything near that much. And that's being generous with collectors in mind. If your talking street price in China, you'll pay the same as any other game - Dirt cheap!
Beware - volumerate.com is DX's site. volumerates.com appears to be completely unreleated and probably rips off volumerate.com's name.
