OK, so the only shows I am currently watching are: The Office, South Park, The Sopranos, and Arrested Development. I just finished The Sopranos (loved the ending by the way, despite what many people thought) but now I'm stuck on what to get into next. I'm really not interested in Heroes or Lost quite yet...

I've heard good things about The Wire. But I'm also interested in Deadwood or Rome...

I'm not much of a TV kind of person, but series like that give me a bit of hope as opposed to normal syndication. Office is starting to get a little stale, but I'm keepin' on lol. I still love the Brit series as well.

I heard of a new show in Britain that is sort of like Big Brother, but like...zombies invade the set and stuff...sounds interesting to say the least.

The only shows I currently watch are The Office, How I Met Your Mother, and 30 Rock. As you can see, I'm only into comedy tv. Drama, not so much.

West Wing might be interesting if not abit long.

Either way you should jump on Lost while all the great podcasts and forums are still interesting.

Theres also some HBO mini series that are interesting. The corner while old over in USA seems interesting the couple episodes ive seen and im watching Generation Kill. Though they are both small.

The Wire: Probably the best show I've ever seen. Deserves far more credit than it received.
    Rome:Excellent series
Deadwood: Same high quality as above but the series was cut short so it ends somewhat adruptly
Generation Kill: Makes you wonder how Iraq didn't end up worse.

    Some others to consider.

Band of Brothers: You've probably seen it but if not then it is required watching
House of Saddam: More a long movie than a series but still an excellent show
The Shield: For a cop show 2nd only to The Wire
Damages: Slow but excellent legal drama

House: the only show I've been continuously watching for the past three years. Highly recommended even if you're not into medical shows.

    I'd recommend those as well.

    Others i like

    - The Big Bang Theory: If you want to laugh. I love it.
    - Seinfeld: I can't stop watching it's re-runs.
    - Simpsons
    - From the Earth to the Moon: I'm watching the re-run as well.

Sometimes i end up watching: House M.D., Two and a Half Men, CSI's, Law and Order's

Also, i just started watching the first season DVD of Prison Break that i borrow from a friend.

Dead Set was alright - I got a bit bored, though.

I very much enjoyed Dexter, or at least the first series which is all I've seen. It's about a forensics expert who is also a serial killer, but he only kills bad people (drug dealers etc.).

You might like Hustle, perhaps. That's a good show (at least, it was until everyone left and they got new people in!). It's about a group of conmen.

Comedy-wise, it really depends what your preferences are. I'd say if you haven't seen them, watch the IT Crowd and Red Dwarf.

    I highly recommend the following:
    Rome
    Band of Brothers
    Sports Night
    Law & Order

I find that here in America you can go almost an entire day watching nothing but episodes of different Law & Order series on different channels. There are at least 5 channels (4 cable, 1 local) that regularly show L&O, and it is almost always playing on at least one of them at any given time. I've been saying for awhile that Dick Wolf should go ahead and make a Law & Order cable network as there are more than enough episodes to run. I know I'd watch it!

Yeah Rome has been on my list for a while...the DVD's are atrociously expensive though...is the show still running?

I heard Deadwood ended abruptly...such a shame...still interested in it.

I think I might get The Wire next...looks the most promising. However, not sure what is gonna top The Sopranos for me...I mean this is really the first show since I was a little kid that I got hooked on because of the characters...plus the soundtrack is excellent.

    Agreed 100% with that.

I don't like dramas at all, yet I couldn't stop watching these two; especially the former.

Rome only ran for two seasons, but it wraps up nicely, they don't leave it hanging like Deadwood or Carnival as it was a planned end to the series. Deadwood was indeed cut short due to the cost to produce the show. The American DVDs for Rome have dropped in price considerably over the last few months, though I don't know if you've been watching American DVDs the entire time...The Rome Blu-rays should be out relatively soon. My roommate worked on them and they were finished some time ago. I know the Blu-ray version will be pretty expensive as welll, most likely, but I also know the show will look incredible in HD.

I might wait until I'm back State-side for Rome...

The only shows they sell over here are like Bones, Heroes, Prison Break, and 24...could go for 24 I suppose.

Get 'Spaced' on DVD. There is a low cost multi-series set available on Amazon with both seasons.

House is pretty good, although at times it starts to get a bit repetitive. Every so often they do through a a twist in there.

I really like Burn Notice, although they are only in season two.

I'm w/ A. Snow on The Wife & Deadwood. Deadwood is about the highest quality TV you can get... unfortunately, it never really got a proper ending. It is the Shenmue of high budget cable TV.

Arrested Development is great. I would just get all of them and watch them straight through.

It's just awesome, when I bought the DVDs I did that. Twice

    Other cool series I'd recommend:

Firefly (shame it got cancelled after 12 episodes, but the movie Serenity kinda wraps up everything)

Burn Notice, fun, I'm currently watching it, though it might get a bit boring sometimes.

24 Season 7 is looking good, and I wouldn't recommend Heroes as it's kinda crappy after Season 1.

Hmmm, Jericho was good also, really catchy but it got canceled and then got a really short season 2 after a plea from fans or something like that, and had to tie loose ends in a few episodes which made season 2 not even close as good as season 1.
