I wonder if they're deliberately going for a "low poly" look here?

At least it looks better than the NES...

low-res textures too. Shame for a Rayman game.

It should be kept in mind however that the target system for the development of this rayman title was Ps2 so it's probably just a sloppy port.

As stated on that site: "...it's nothing visually stunning"

Hopefully Barc0de is right and it's just a sloppy port.

They did it with so many cube games, it's not even funny. The Cube could pump out some seriously good graphics, and Nintendo were the worse culprits for not taking advantage of it.

Oh well, soon enough we will see just how the "wiimote" works in real world cenario's. I still want to see what the pickup system is like, and if it really does "calculate your place in realtime 3D with full geometric tilt sensing algorithms" or whatever the fanboys keep imagining.

Yeah, that does look pretty crappy. Then again, I'm still occasionally amazed at what my PS1 can do.

It's Rayman. It wasn't very good the first time and has not approached good since.

The theme of the game sits well with low poly characters. The rabbit in the back looks like that big brown thing the shape of a fishstick, but brown. I think its name was dokomo.

Have you guys even bothered to look at the pink furry thing in the back? That looks like 'real' hair it has there, and I see lots of normal mapping goodness on the characters, and then some. Yeh, the characters look low poly but its most likely a cartoon/wacky style type of game.

Yeah, lots of games don't go for ultra graphics, maybe it forces them to be a little fun sometimes. Not a good screenshot to show of the system capabilities though but at least it isn't lies like certain other console prerelease shots.

I guess I'm the only one who's content with the graphics.

I've seen that picture all over the place but had no idea it was for the Revo.

    Good god, indeed.

The picture with the goth/death metal hybrid kid playing with his/her Wii is awesome. I mean honestly, is that Nintendo's idea of what a "cool" kid is?

As for the screen shot, the graphics may look sucky, but I'm guessing thats just the style they're going for. Yes yes, I know, thats the most cop-out BS statement ever, but you know...

Gah, I just noticed the creepy old man behind the two kids. That brings a whole new level of disturbedness to the picture!

    Punk GOTH MAN = WIN!
He's like... the little brother of Edward Scissorhands!

    While that other dude... wtf!?

As you can see, PunkMan is 1337 enough for Wii, while meatball is mostly too busy during his spartime playing soccer/manager games and CS, and now he's like "HOLY CRAP!?" when he sees how awesome the new rayman is on the Wii.

    [edit]
As for the old man, it's for those who really like to analyze commercials, as it holds the key to the dark secret for why emo kid is PunkMan and why meatball is visiting.

What's wrong with the Goth kid? I think he looks pretty cool. I used to have a mohican when I was a kid his age too ^_^ (not as spectacular as his I must admit)
