The price is a good point, but I guess we'll still get fucked for it in the UK :-( As far as the other points go, PS3/360 didn't adopt strange controllers to be accessible. Everyone knows what a console pad should look like, differing only causes confusion and discomfort (prove me wrong N!). And the CPU architecture is only strange because it's new. Wait until there's 100 Million of them out there, won't be so strange then. I am thoroughly confused by Nintendo's approach. I don't know what to expect from them, a kiddies toy which doesn't interest anyone (even the kids) or the biggest change to video games in the last 20 years... However the only thing I ever hear people saying about video games is the graphics, and now there is such a fuss over HD it's only going to get worse.
Not too sure. A lot of the things I hear online are related to graphics, but what you hear online is not a good indicator of the thoughts of the general populous. CPU: of course it's only strange because it's new. Wii's (apparently) isn't new though, that was my point. Aside from anything else, I think the Wii is easily the most interesting out of the three. I know what to expect from Xbox 360 and PS3, and I'm sure they'll both have great games eventually, but Nintendo's new thing is a completely unknown quantity and that interests me a lot more.
Exactly, and that the problem: outside the net were nintendo fanboys are non-existant the Wii fuzz is nowhere to be found. When I talk about the revo/wii to casuals the most common answer is "Revo? WTF is that?":-(
