Sorry, made a new topic to get people's attension http://www.jeux-france.com/news19769_nights-wii-premieres-images.html
I could appreciate the magic of Nights back in the day...even though I never felt it myself and still don't now. Can't even imagine there'll be any to appreciate if this is true..the last 10 years+ has been hard on Sega's touch. Better to leave the memories well alone (well for those that have fond ones of Nights anyway)
As bad as I want to be the typical ole school Sega fan skeptic... I cannot help but freak out over those images.
It'S looking very good. Seems to follow the original from those shots. Let's just hoe it plays like the original as well.!! I actuall got the original out the other day and spent 4 hours on it. Still a nice games all these years later. Yakumo
I wonder if they will throw in the old version of NiGHTS in like they did the older PD games with PD: Orta.
Saw these in another forums... Anyway, is just me or does anyone else think this may be a remake? cuz it looks an awful lot like the original. That and the graphics, the detail is low (check the hands, they're identical to those in SA2) and the textures are blurry. I know the Wii is no powerhouse, but I know it can do better. Just look at mario galaxy. On the other hand, maybe this is just a very early alpha, and the final version will look a lot better than this. But I cant deny the quality tests at SEGA are at an all time low... Indeed, those eyelashes and the red jacket.........
What? isnt that the same from DC's SA2? Plus I dont think they would be sooo cheap as to use a 5 years old engine on a flagship game...
it would make some sense, considering the Wii is not exactly cutting edge. I m sure the Wii is more than capable, but it all boils down on how they ll handle it. They better watch out, this is not sonic, where despite big mistakes big sales happen. The nights audience is much thinner and they know exactly what to expect. If they ve got any intention of reaching out to new players, they better make damn sure its worth it.
looking very good I wonder if they pic is from partial port of the rumoured Dreamcast I hope sega port this game on dreamcast
Here's one more screenshot I think you guys missed http://img158.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=73007_missingpage_122_520lo.jpg and the first interview for the game is translated and posted here http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=5952947&postcount=80 Its a Wiii exclusive !! That's amazing plus a "a two-player mode and certain special online functions" PS: I posted this in the other topic but, This seems to be where its at now.

Why SA2:B engine? They do have other cube engines like what was used in Sonic Hero (renderware i believe) & Billy Hatcher.
Billy Hatcher used a SA2:B variant engine. Sonic Heroes used renderware, owned by Criterion software i think. I don't think they used renderware in Shadow the Hedgehog did they? The SA2:B engine was much more fine-tuned than the Renderware engine in Heroes. In heroes, i would find myself falling for no reason, and linking combos wasn't as graceful and spot-on as it was in SA2:B and SAX to a lesser extent. @cahaz, what?
