I have a PAL console with Unleash installed. I booted with Frostys disk, loaded the file manager and changed the console from pal to ntsc. From the unleashx menu the 480p and 720p mode are turned on but every game that I try to play is 48oi. How can I force the games to be in 480p?

Like above, but you should be able to force progressive video with NKPatcher (softmod) via what ever settings menu that got installed along with the softmod.
I don't use dvds, I have installed an 80gbyte disk and test the games that I have in the disk. I think most of them are ntsc. I think I have a modchip installed, the pink logo at the top left corner that is visible in your last picture shows up also in my Xbox if I powered it normally. If I use the eject button it boots to UnleashX. Can I patch the games because I don't think that I can make it to install the news bios. Also what I can do with the NKPatcher, any link for a guide?
For use 480p with xbox with PAL console modded (chip, softmod or TSOP) you need enigmah for change region console to NTSC, after go to microsoft menu to get availlable Widescreen and 480p/720/p and 1080i. At least component cable.
Xmm, ok the last posted helped. I went in MS dashboard changed the video settings, pressed the two triggers, start and select. Booted DOA3, nice and crispy graphics. Rebooted and the changes were erased back to the same 480i. How can I keep the changes from being erased?
Ok, I booted with AID disk and one of the advance options is Unleash X options. Chose that one, turned on 480p and 720p, saved and rebooted. Now everything works fine.
Hi sorry for using this thread to ask a related question. I also have a PAL console and PAL games. Some of them work properly, example Metal Slug 3 other have a weird crop, example Metal Slug 4. Basically it shows a part of the left side of the screen in the right with a 480p resolution. Could someone give me some tips, or links for the latest Softmod available? Cheers

I have a V1.1, the V1.6 that I was using had issues with a lot of games I liked. This one display the 480p but does that weird crop. I tried to install both Evo and unleashed, but the result is still the same and it makes this extremely annoying. This is why I am thinking if there is a newer version or something else I can do.
Disabl Disable widescreen or letterbox & use normal/original as some games display incorrectly when in those modes. Example is, hitman blood money, if anything other than normal (4:3) is selected the fonts are all messed up & one of the crash games UI gets enlarged of widescreen is enabled. I just stick with normal/original (4:3) now.
I am guessing choosing 4:3 in the system settings? Shiiiiit if that is the answer I wasted a lot of time.
Tried everyting, couldn't find the 4:3, but put the Video display at Normal instead of widescreen, didn't work. It really sucks.
It's a V1.1 and I can't seem to have the 480p option in the MS dashboard. I can only see a PAL dashboard which does not have that option.
